Hello, my favorite Monday peeps! Can you believe we’re already staring July in the face? Summer is officially in full swing, and before we know it, backyards will be filled with the smell of barbecue, fireworks will be lighting up the night sky, and we’ll all be wondering how this year is flying by so quickly.
I’m hoping for a little downtime, soaking up the sunshine (without melting!), and making the most of these long summer days with family, friends, and, of course, plenty of great music.🤞🏼
This week is a freebie week, so my playlist is packed with a little bit of everything—from heartfelt ballads and feel-good anthems to songs that celebrate love, family, adventure, and living life to the fullest.
Whether you’re relaxing on the patio, heading out on a road trip, or putting together your Fourth of July weekend playlist a little early, I hope you’ll discover a few new favorites along the way.
So grab your favorite summer beverage, turn up the volume, and let’s kick off another edition of Monday’s Music Moves Me!.
Let’s start with a brand new song from this favorite artist that’s just in time for the Fourth of July. This new take on a country classic feels especially fitting. Originally recorded decades ago, the song has been reimagined with a fresh sound while preserving the heartfelt message that made it a favorite in the first place.
Celebrating hardworking people, hometown values, and the simple joys that bring communities together, it’s the kind of song that naturally finds its way onto summer playlists and holiday celebrations alike.
What I enjoy most about this version is that it captures a sense of pride and gratitude without losing its fun, feel-good energy. Whether you’re planning a backyard barbecue, watching fireworks light up the night sky, or simply spending time with family and friends, this song serves as a reminder to appreciate the traditions, memories, and everyday moments that make this time of year so special. It’s an upbeat anthem that’s sure to get your toes tapping as we celebrate another Independence Day.
Give a listen to Trace Adkins with “American Made”:
Next up is a brand-new song from this favorite artist. At first glance, this new song might sound like a simple tribute to the joys of raising a daughter, but there’s an even deeper story woven throughout.
Inspired by the artist’s own journey into fatherhood, the song reflects on the excitement of welcoming a little girl while also honoring someone who isn’t here to share in that special moment—his own father.
It’s a touching reminder that even as life brings incredible new beginnings, we often find ourselves wishing we could share them with the people we’ve loved and lost.
What makes this song so memorable is the way it balances joy with reflection. Rather than dwelling on grief, it celebrates the legacy our loved ones leave behind and the ways they continue to shape us long after they’re gone.
Filled with warmth, gratitude, and hope, the song reminds us that becoming a parent isn’t just about raising the next generation—it’s also about carrying forward the love, lessons, and memories of those who helped make us who we are.
Get ready for goosebumps; here’s Cole Swindell with “Girl Dad”:
Next up is a song from this new-to-me artist that kept grabbing my ear whenever I was in the car listening to Sirius XM, so naturally I had to look the artist and the song up. 😅
Sometimes the best love stories begin when we least expect them. This new song captures that exciting moment when someone comes into your life and completely changes the plans you thought you had for yourself. Inspired by the artist’s own experience of developing feelings for someone she never saw coming, the song reflects the excitement, uncertainty, and hope that often accompany the start of a new relationship.
What began as a simple chorus written while waiting for a date quickly blossomed into a breakout hit—and, perhaps even sweeter, the real-life romance behind it continued to flourish.
What I love most about this song is its refreshing honesty. It’s about letting your guard down, embracing vulnerability, and discovering that taking a chance on someone can lead to something truly special.
Wrapped in a warm blend of country, pop, and indie-folk influences, the song has an infectious optimism that reminds us that love doesn’t always arrive according to plan—but sometimes those unexpected journeys become the ones we treasure most.
Get ready to dance; here’s Stella Lefty with “Boston”:
Last but certainly not least is a brand-new song from this favorite artist. Some songs just make you want to roll the windows down, turn up the volume, and soak in every moment—and this new one does exactly that.
Built around the idea of living life to the fullest, the song reminds us that our greatest memories are often made when we stop worrying about what’s next and simply enjoy the adventure unfolding right in front of us. It’s an uplifting anthem that encourages us to embrace the people, places, and experiences that make life so unforgettable.
The music video adds another dimension to the song’s message. Styled as a theatrical production, it seamlessly blends powerful storytelling with larger-than-life performances, exploring themes of love, loss, and holding on to cherished memories. It’s visually stunning, emotionally engaging, and showcases the artist’s unmistakable charisma in a way that’s both playful and deeply heartfelt.
Together, the song and video create an unforgettable experience that reminds us to treasure every moment and truly make the most of the time we’re given.
Without further ado, here’s Benson Boone with “The Time Of My Life”:
That’s a wrap for this week – have a great Monday! See you on the dance floor!

The clear winner this week was Girl Dad. It had a lot of meaning for me; my one child never knew either of my parents and I know how much my father would have loved him.
LOVE the Trace Adkins song.
All of us girl dads understand where Cole Swindell in coming from. Not only am I a girl dad, I had three grand daughters before the grandson came along. Happy 4th and have a blessed week.
Trace Adkins is my favorite of your picks! 🙂 I do appreciate the introductions to all of your music shares and I just love your patriotic eagle image – super cool! Y’all have a blessed and happy Independence Day, Stacy! xo
Im not a big country fan but they are patriotic. I did enjoy the last song
