Gig Nights, Good Weather, and Finally Escaping Storage Tetris with Random Funnies: Random Tuesday Thoughts

Hello Tuesday peeps! The hubby had a gig this weekend – we had so much fun, of course. It’s been so long since this particular band has played together that it was like a mini reunion with the band wives. It’s hard to plan get-togethers with our schedules, but we’ll be working on rectifying that, so another six months doesn’t pass before we get to hang out again.

It was Kentucky Derby Day at the Eagles, where they played, so they had some fun props scattered about:

At least since we’re approaching nice weather again (no rain forecast in the next 10 days, woot!) there will be more gigs to play, so throughout the summer months we’ll get to hang out together. We just need to work on the fall/winter months when they’re not playing out. 😉

Well, it’s official – the reorganizing and purging will commence (again), only this time we now have a place to relocate the stacks’o’boxes in the house to eliminate the tetris mode that was slowing us way down. We had a 20-foot drybox delivered:

Forgive the image quality – this is the camera we have pointing out our mudroom window when we had riffraff living in the house up on the hill to keep an eye on things. We kept it, as I still keep an eye on things throughout the day. 😉

I was very happy they were able to maneuver it as far back as they did. We were worried they wouldn’t have enough clearance, and it would end up in between the house and the garage, just at the back of the driveway, instead of actually in that section of the backyard.

This placement does two things – is less infringing on that section of the backyard as a whole, and it will be much easier to move stuff from the house to it, going out the back mudroom door out there instead of out the front door and around the house.

Easier access means we’ll get it done faster, right? 😅 Since we bought it (it will more than pay for itself in a year, compared to storage unit rental fees), we’ll be painting it. The hubby wants to paint it camouflage, I’d rather paint it to match the house. I’ll keep you posted!
