From a Christmas Window to Mother’s Day Ceiling Fan with Random Funnies: Random Tuesday Thoughts

Hello Tuesday peeps! I hope all the moms out there had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend filled with love, laughter, and relaxation! Whether you spent the day celebrating with family, enjoying some quiet time, or just surviving the chaos with extra coffee in hand, I hope you felt appreciated.

Mother’s Day weekend ended up being pretty low-key around here, which honestly was perfectly fine by me. Instead of battling the crowds and long wait times at restaurants, we decided to go the takeout route for dinner and enjoy a quieter evening at home. Much less stressful, way more comfortable, and nobody had to pretend they enjoyed waiting 45 minutes for a table. 😄

The hubby also continued his streak of… “interesting” gift choices. You may remember that for Christmas, he gifted me a window. Yes. An actual window. Well, apparently, he decided to try to top himself this time around because, for Mother’s Day, I received a ceiling fan. 😂

I bought a ceiling fan for the living room well over six months ago that still hasn’t been installed… along with one for our bedroom… also awaiting installation. BUT, I do have to give him credit on this one because I’ll probably end up needing one in my future upstairs office once I finally escape my dark little basement office cave and move into the spare bedroom I’ve been jonesin’ to claim as my own. So honestly? It was actually appreciated. 😄

Meanwhile, the great purge/reorganizing project has officially begun! The piles’o’boxes are finally starting to disappear from inside the house and make their way out to the handy new drybox. And let me tell you—it already feels so much better around here.

Having an actual place to move things to instead of constantly playing “storage Tetris” inside the house is making a huge difference. We’re still only at the beginning stages, but we’re making really great progress so far… and that’s giving me motivation to keep going! 😉
