When The Kingdom Comes i’m gonna Need Your Love just like Elizabeth Taylor as a Younger You

Hello, my favorite Monday peeps! For those who celebrate, I hope you had a blessed Easter! Meanwhile, since it is Monday, you know that Monday means music! This week is a freebie week, so grab your favorite tune(s) and come dance with us, won’t you?

Let’s start with a brand new song from this Multi-Platinum country star, a deeply moving new single. The reflective track offers a heartfelt meditation on life’s trials, faith, and the enduring hope of redemption. He wrote the song with his wife and songwriter friends, capturing a stirring vision of eternity and divine purpose.

Centered on the lyric, “when we all know why, when we see the Son roll back the sky, there’ll be nothing left, nothing left but love…” the song blends emotional vulnerability with a message of spiritual assurance. The artist said:

“Ever since I heard this title, I was so blown away and knew in my heart it was going to be something beyond special. This specific song has a much bigger purpose. I feel like all that I have worked for and all that I have hoped for comes down to the message this song relays – God has always had a plan. He still does. And if even one person is changed or brought closer to Jesus through it, then it will be everything I ever wanted it to be.”

Next up is a brand-new single from this favorite group, an emotional track produced by the lead singer that conveys that they don’t need money, fame, or expensive things; they only need the adoration of the one they love.

Don’t need the buzz of the credit cards / The house on the hill with a perfect yard / Don’t gotta see my name on the boulevard / I don’t need a million dollars / Giving me expensive problems / Oh, don’t need a drink just to fill the cup / But I need your love

The group released the song – and video – last Friday, April 3rd, a visual of the band performing in a warehouse that, according to a press release, “illuminates the track’s message of love.” No over-the-top stunts or grand gestures, just the band in their element and the lead vocals soaring along the melody as they share their need for love with the world.

Here’s OneRepublic with “Need Your Love”:

Last week, on April 1st, to be exact (and it wasn’t an April Fool’s joke, either), this artist dropped a surprise music video for the second track on her twelfth album. The artist herself doesn’t appear in the video at all; it features a supercut of footage of the late actress, Elizabeth Taylor, who died in 2011 at the age of 73.

The artist received permission from Taylor’s estate to both release the song and use her likeness in the music video. Additionally, royalties earned from the video’s streams will go to the Taylor estate, which oversees her archive and the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation.

The artist has been vocal about her admiration for Taylor, and the song’s lyrics draw parallels between the high levels of fame both women have experienced. She said:

“She was under a microscope so, so intense, and she handled it with humor, and she got along with her life. She continued to make incredible art, and so this is a love song kind of through the lens of the motif of what she had to go through in her life and sort of the parallels that I feel in my own life.”

Elizabeth Taylor’s family seems supportive of the song and its subsequent music video. Her grandson said:

“My family loves the song, and grandma would have loved it, too. I wish she could have heard it.

[The artist] not only made a beautiful homage to Elizabeth Taylor, but it feels like she is addressing her directly while invoking her legacy in a way that is dimensional, confessional, honest, and fun.”

Here’s the always amazing and one-of-a-kind Taylor Swift with “Elizabeth Taylor”:

Last but certainly not least is a song this artist released just a week ago on Friday (March 27th), which happens to be from the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special, which premiered on Tuesday, March 24.

The country-tinged track sees the artist, 33, having a conversation with her younger self and advising her to remain grounded amid the fame.

Somewhere along the way, we lost touch / We used to be so happy just because / I know you had to go eventually / But don’t forget about me, don’t forget about me, no

Alongside the track, the three-time Grammy winner shared an emotional visual full of nostalgia from her youth. The video features images of the artist driving through Hollywood, interspersed with scenes from the Hannah Montana anniversary event.

At the same time, the visual pans to moments from the 2009 film Hannah Montana: The Movie. As she sings the chorus, she can even be seen holding her signature pink makeup case from the movie. The song ends on a bittersweet note as the two versions of the artist walk away from the camera while she sings, “I know your story isn’t done, but do you love who you’ve become?”

On March 27th, the artist shared a sweet post on Instagram about this song:

“Younger me has loved celebrating 20 years of Hannah Montana with you. This song is yours as a thank you for the life we’ve grown through together. I love you always.”

At the premiere of the anniversary special on March 24th she said she would tell her younger self to “enjoy and have fun because [filming the show is] a lot of work.”

“But it’s also worth it.”

Get ready for goosebumps, here’s Miley Cyrus with “Younger You”:

  3. Im not much for the 1st two songs but I did enjoy the song for Elizabeth Taylor. That was very respectful. I like the Cyrus song as well.

  4. My favorite song was Younger You. This song could be written about many of us. The Elizabeth Taylor video was absolutely beautiful and perfectly matched the song but Younger You really spoke to me. Alana ramblinwitham
