Hello Tuesday peeps! Tomorrow is Tax Day!
I always file an extension, which I did last week. That way, I can procrastinate for another 6 months before filing, but mostly it’s because it puts our tax refund closer to the holidays, when I can use the money for holiday shopping. 😉
Do you do your own taxes, or have an accountant do them? When we lived in PA, we had an accountant do ours, and even continued to have her do them when we moved to Washington State. She was referred by a friend who had way more complicated taxes than we did, and she did a great job – although our friend jokingly referred to her as “Shady Lady”. 😆
We stopped using her, though, when she messed up our taxes one year, which was a fun thing to straighten out with the IRS. I think losing her husband that year threw her off her game, and she was no spring chicken herself; it was time to bid adieu. So, I started doing them myself every year. I kind of enjoy the challenge, and I do like working with numbers, so it’s been a win/win.

I think they shut that Burger King down in our town. In fact, I used to work at it, even the building is gone now.
