Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with Random Funnies (and Corned Beef Brisket, of course!)—Random Tuesday Thoughts

Hello, my favorite Tuesday peeps! Today is St. Patrick’s Day! Are you wearing green? I am! Do any of you do anything on this greenish day?

I have corned beef brisket cooking in the slow cooker today – I’ll add potatoes and cabbage a few hours before dinnertime, but by midday the house is going to smell heavenly!

Last Friday, parts of Washington State got snow, including my lucky duck brother, who only lives 70-ish miles north of me. What did we get? Incessant rain, rain, and more rain! I 1000% would have preferred snow to pretty things up around here, instead of the drab, gray rain that seemed to never end. 😅

We did (thankfully) have a break from the constant downpour on Saturday, when we actually had sunshine the entire day! It was grocery shopping day, so naturally 3/4 of the sunny day was spent running around doing that. But at least I wasn’t getting rained on!

Mother Nature wasn’t done—the rain came back the very next day. Looks like we might get a two-day break in the middle of the 10-day forecast – fingers crossed! And it looks like during that time we’re actually going to have much warmer weather – 64-degrees in March? I’m down with that.

As long as it doesn’t mean we’ll have excessive heat again this summer. 🌞
