April Fools and Easter Too with Random Funnies: Random Tuesday Thoughts

Well, we made it, my friends! Today is the last day of March! Say what now?! Sheesh! Whoever has their finger on that fast-forward button, can you please lay off for a bit? 😂

Last week was cray-cray-crazy busy work-wise. It’s been a very long time since I’ve worked a 60-hour week! I know, it’s me that’s cray-cray. But this week is a lot more settled, so I had that to look forward to after working my butt off last week.

And at least all those hours will be crammed into my March invoice, so when I get paid in April, it’ll be nice to help the recovery-mode I’ve been in for all the spending I did for Christmas… hee hee!

Sunday the hubby and I met my brother and his wife and my mom at Applebees (it’s been a minute – and the entire time I was there I had Walker Hayes song, “Fancy Like” running through my head… 😆) I tell you what though, I had forgotten how amazing their food is, so we’ll have to definitely go back (or more often. or something).

The reason we were meeting my mom is – and maybe I already mentioned this, but just in case I didn’t – she’s selling her house here and buying one in Kansas, not too far from where my sister (her Golden Child) lives. I mean, she just turned 80 last July!

So hey – 80 really is the new 60, eh? A fresh start is definitely in order for her, though, after my dad passed a few years ago. So I get it. Here we are after we finished lunch and were getting ready to leave:

I love the house she found out there – ironically, it’s almost a mirror image of the one she has out here, only better. So that’s cool. And I suppose that means I’m definitely going to have to plan a trip to Kansas – my sister has been nagging me for years to come visit her, but at least she’s come out here fairly often, so there was no need… until now… mwhahaha!
