Hello my favorite Monday peeps! I don’t know if you follow football, but yesterday was a nail-biter with the NFC Champions. More on that tomorrow! Meanwhile, since it is Monday, you know that Monday means music! This week is a freebie week, so grab your favorite tune(s) and come dance with us, won’t you?
Let’s start with this song from this favorite artist that heartbreakingly addresses his losing both his parents before he turned 21 years old and the acute, unabating sense of loss.
To be with you in paradise / what I wouldn’t sacrifice / why’d you have to chase the light / somewhere I can’t go / as I walk this world alone
The artist captioned the video:
“When I was 9, my dad passed away from cancer, and later my mom drank herself to death. I wrote this song to explain what the feeling of grief is like. I seriously can’t wait for you to hear this.”
Get ready for goosebumps, here’s Alex Warren with “Eternity”:
Next up is a brand new song from this favorite artist, which seemingly alludes to her split with her former fiancé. The former couple haven’t spoken about the reason for their split, and the artist hasn’t confirmed that the song is about her former fiancé. That said, the song definitely tells the story of a breakup, with lyrics like:
You were there, but you weren’t / Got so used to you letting me down
It’s not that complicated / To ask me how my day is / I’m flatlining trying to save this
The song also ends on a sweet note, with:
I would still do it all over again / The love that we made was worth it in the end
Here’s Katy Perry with “bandaids”:
Next up is a brand new single from this favorite artist, that debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. This will be the artist’s first solo album in a decade. In what serves as the debut single from his upcoming album, he sings about the lethality of first attraction. And if the DJ just happens to play the right music and the lady in question happens to make the correct moves, well, he could be off the market. At least in song, of course.
Play a song for this pretty little lady (Oh, oh, oh) / ‘Cause if she dance as good as she look right now (Oh, oh, oh) / I just might, I just might make her my baby
Give a listen to Bruno Mars with “I Just Might”:
Last, but certainly not least, is a new song from this English singer-songwriter. Known for her distinct deep alto voice, she began sharing various viral singing videos on TikTok in 2022, then she began releasing singles in 2024. This particular song is attributed to her breakthrough success, as it reached No. 9 on the UK singles chart in November 2025. Following its release, she signed a global publishing agreement with Sony Music Publishing.
At age 10, the artist began writing songs, inspired by jazz musicians such as Etta James and Frank Sinatra, as well as a range of hip-hop artists from the early 2000s. She came up with the first verse of this song while trying to learn to play “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen on the piano. The next day, she finished writing the song during a session with a couple more songwriters. They then worked on recording the song for months; at one point, the song was even developed into a “completely different genre”.
Without further ado, here’s SIENNA SPIRO with “Die On This Hill”:
That’s a wrap for this week – have a great Monday! See you on the dance floor!
Now, onto the particulars of Monday’s Music Move’s Me:
I have the supreme honor and privilege of being a co-host with the inimitable Xmas Dolly and our musical cohort, the awesome Cathy from Curious as a CAThy, and Alana of Ramblin’ with AM!
Want to join in the fun? It’s easy – just find a tune that rocks your boat, post it and link up – don’t forget to grab Xmas Dolly…er, um, I mean her button…over at her place here. Check out Xmas Dolly’s sidebar for the random themes we sport each week – and you can always ask for a specific theme of music you like, too. Check out the other music lovahs and let’s jam!

I’m not much of a football fan, but I’ll be rooting for your Seahawks because of my daughter … she’s a Jets fan, so when she went to college in Rhode Island she took a lot of abuse from Patriots fans — in 2012 had to watch the Super Bowl alone …
Nice playlist. Good to hear something new from Bruno Mars. Have a blessed day.
Hey Stacy,
Fab music, especially loved Bruno’s new tune. This is the first one in a long while. Recently he crossed my mind and I wondered what became of him. Katy entwines humor frequently in her videos which is a lot of fun. I think I liked clip better than the song itself. Where ever the inspiration came from for the song, it’s good to see she’s still performing. Thanks for sharing the dance floor with me, darlin’! Stay warm and have a boogietastic week. xo
I always enjoy the new songs you spring on us, even if they are not my favourites:)). I like Bruno and that last girl has a good voice.
My favorite this week was Katy Perry, although I also liked Die on this Hill. For some strange reason I could see an ice skating routine using Die on this Hill – must be I’m looking forward to the Winter Olympics. Alana ramblinwitham
Nice playlist and that’s a great song of Bruno Mars😻Double Warm Pawkisses for a Happy Day🐾😽💞
