Give Me Something, not the Silent Treatment because i’m Good with The Thing I Love!

Hello my favorite Monday peeps! Hope your New Year is off to a good start! Meanwhile, since it is Monday, you know that Monday means music! This week is a freebie week, so grab your favorite tune(s) and come dance with us, won’t you?

Let’s start with this American pop-rock band that teamed up with the global publisher GRYPHLINE to release a new song. GRYPHLINE is the global publishing brand of HYPERGRYPH, headquartered in Singapore, with branches across multiple countries and regions.

The song is the brand-new theme track for the upcoming role-playing game “Arknights: Endfield”, which is set to be released on January 22, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Windows, and mobile devices. The accompanying music video features game footage. The frontman said:

“This collaboration originated from honestly, our fan of the game and video games in general. We are video game-obsessed musicians. That’s what we do on tour: we play video games.”

The story of “Arknights: Endfield” takes place on a moon called “Talos-II”, and the player takes on the role of the “Endministrator” of the titular “Endfield Industries” corporation. GRYPHLINE said:

“From these lands beneath to the planets above, the path we tread together remains unbroken. Once more, we venture forth as one to chart the unknown and forge the future. Arknights: Endfield is officially set for its worldwide release on January 22nd, 2026.”

Give a listen to OneRepublic with “Give Me Something”:

Next up is a new song from a new (to me) British artist, a singer-songwriter and actress known for representing the UK in Junior Eurovision 2022 and starring as Nova in Disney’s Zombies 4. In the song, the 16-year-old singer-songwriter does not bite back her feelings or put a stop to airing her grievances. Feeling incredibly wronged by this partner, she sings:

You played it cool, and I played it dumb / Don’t you think I’m a little too young / To be messed with like that?

The pre-chorus, however, is the part where she tells us exactly why she is hurting the way she is, as she sings:

I got my hopes too high / You hardly said goodbye / Then casually walked out of my life

Even if you haven’t been ghosted before, the lyrics leave no room for questions on how devastating an experience it can be, especially when you have such high hopes for the person. The chorus further drives in this point when she sings:

The least you could’ve done was give me a reason.

Here’s Freya Skye with “Silent Treatment”:

Next up is a brand new song from this favorite artist that was just released on Friday. I didn’t find the story behind the song, but the artist described it thusly:

“'[This song]’ is about my lifelong journey to understand God’s grace. I spent a long time treating grace like a ladder I had to climb—if I did enough good things, then I’d be worthy of God’s love. But He keeps showing me that grace isn’t a reward or something I have to earn, it’s a gift freely given. That powerful truth did more than inspire this song, it has changed my life.”

Give a listen to Matthew West with “Good”:

Last, but certainly not least, is a collaboration between a favorite artist and an American singer-songwriter that’s new to me—the first collaboration between the two. The song is a tender and uplifting pop anthem celebrating the people who bring out the best in us. The artist collaborated with said:

“[This song] is a really special song for me. There’re so many people in my life personally who bring out the best in me and make me better. This song is dedicated to them. Having Andy Grammer, a longtime friend and incredible artist is such an honor and privilege.”

The other artist added:

“I’ve always admired MAX’s artistry and creative spirit, so having the opportunity to collaborate on this song was truly a joy. It’s such an upbeat song, and we had such a fun time bringing this one to life.”

The accompanying music video was filmed around the world, including in Japan, Mexico, Los Angeles, and more.

“Been filming the video for ‘[this song]’ around the world for almost a year and a half in Japan, Mexico, Los Angeles, etc. This song has been always just felt infectious and fun since we first wrote it and I’m so happy that Andy Grammer joined and added his beautiful spirit and artistry to the chemistry of the record. I hope you enjoy this one and thank you as always for listening and being with me on my musical journey.”

Without further ado, here’s MAX and Andy Grammer with “The Thing I Love”:

  1. Stacy,

Fabulous song picks this week. I, especially appreciated reading about the lyrics of Matthew West song. The story is powerful and true. It offers inspiration for everyone who tries to walk right and fail. You can’t earn your way into heaven. It’s a totally free gift to all who accept His call. Have a boogietastic week, darlin’! xo

  2. My favorite of the set was the One Republic song, followed closely by Matthew West’s Good. The latter song was so heartfelt. Alana ramblinwitham
