Today is my Birthday, so bring on the Random Funnies: Random Tuesday Thoughts

Hello, my favorite Tuesday peeps! Today is my Birthday!

I’ll be honest – sometimes it sucks to have a December birthday, especially since my brother and sister (they’re twins!) were born a year and three days after me. So three out of four of us kids are crammed in between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Often we’d the the dreaded “This is your Birthday and Christmas present!” gifts. 😅

My older sister was born in August – inevitably, she’d end up getting extra gifts in December, as our grandparents didn’t want her to feel ‘left out’. Um, hello? What about us other three feeling ‘left out’ in August?! 😆

When we were growing up, I always thought it was unfair that the twins got to celebrate – and open their presents – three days early, as we’d combine and celebrate the three of us on my birthday. Funny how things change as we become adults – now it’s ‘easier’ to celebrate all of us in one fell swoop! 😘

We’re experiencing a ‘river aloft’ which started yesterday and continues through tomorrow. 

Crazy rain! Over two inches yesterday, and we’re expecting close to that amount today, so we’ll see how the rivers and trees do. Hopefully, we won’t have power outages during this time. 🤞🏼 Sorry to those of you to the east of us – this weather system is no doubt heading in your direction, and if you’re cold enough, you’re probably going to get snowed on.

Honestly, though, I wish it were snow here instead of rain! Now that would have been a nice birthday present from Mother Nature! 😁
