Hello, my favorite Monday peeps! Tomorrow is my birthday! I’m not a fan of middle-of-the-week birthdays, since it’s more fun to celebrate on the weekend – so we’ll be going to dinner Friday, and going to see the Nutcracker on Saturday.
Meanwhile, since it is Monday, you know that Monday means music! Almost the entire month of December is dedicated to Christmas music (a tradition here at Monday’s Music Moves Me), so grab your favorite Christmas tune(s) and come dance with us, won’t you?
Let’s start with a new song from these recently discovered artists. I couldn’t find any background info about the song itself, just the info about the artists will have to suffice. The female lead is a Nashville-based retro pop artist, singer, and songwriter known for her piano-driven music that blends folk and jazz influences, drawing comparisons to artists like Norah Jones and Regina Spektor. She also performs as a classical and jazz pianist for events and has had her music featured on shows for networks like Netflix and CBS.
The male artist is a producer, mixer, musician and songwriter originally from Southeast Missouri. A few years after signing a major label record deal in 2012 as a solo artist, he realized that his true passion was making music in the studio. He moved to Nashville in 2016 and began working as a full time producer/engineer collaborating with indie artists such as Brittany Pfantz, The Gray Havens, and Anna Graceman. He’s also developed an ear for sync with placements ranging from Walmart to Grey’s Anatomy to The Venetian Hotel.

Next up is another song that has become a tradition to share each year since my favorite brother’s birthday happens to be 3 days after mine (that will be Friday, in case you need assistance counting the days). Sure, he’s my only brother, but we’ll let him have the ‘favorite’ title, m’kay? Happy Birthday, Mikey – here’s a “Box Of Rocks” for ya! You know I love ya!
Here’s the amazing The Song Trust with “Box Of Rocks”:
Next up is a brand-new original holiday song from this favorite artist, and it’s truly something special. It’s a bluesy, slow-burning country song that beautifully captures the essence of longing for a loved one during the holidays after they have passed. The song is deeply centered on cherished memories, the sting of loss, and the universal yearning that the holiday season can bring.
The chorus is particularly poignant, as it expresses a heartfelt desire for just one more chance to say “I love you” and to hold onto the precious things that are now gone, all while being threaded with nostalgic verses that evoke sweet memories of dancing to Nat King Cole and revisiting those intimate, time-worn holiday scenes we all hold dear.
This new song takes a very different and refreshingly honest approach to holiday-themed music compared to his previous works. Instead, it presents a raw, intimate, and deeply emotional examination of the yearning and grief that can sometimes accompany Christmas time.
Personally, with the passing of my best friend a few years ago, this time of year can have its sad moments when we’d make it a point to celebrate each other’s birthdays together when we could, and especially Christmas. With that in mind, I’m dedicating this song to my late favorite person in the world, Peggy Wood.
Get ready for goosebumps, here’s Trace Adkins with “One More Christmas”:
Last but certainly not least is a brand new Christmas song from this favorite multi-award-winning artist, songwriter, and storyteller. He welcomes the holidays with open arms and a full heart in his brand-new album he released just last month. Known for his unparalleled gift of turning real-life stories into songs of hope and redemption, he once again channels his signature authenticity into a Christmas project that reminds listeners of what truly matters most. He said:
“There’s something about Christmas that draws us back – back to family, back to faith, back to what truly matters. This album is my invitation for everyone to pause, reflect, and return home – not just to a place, but to a sense of belonging, peace, and joy.”
In the new album, the artist sets the tone with a song that feels like a heartfelt welcome – a reminder that the true home we seek is found in love and connection. Meanwhile, he also has some cheeky songs, like this one, that reveals his playful spirit and ability to capture the lighter side of the season – embracing the laughter, quirks, and chaos that come with gathering loved ones under one roof.
“Christmas is about coming home – not just to our families, but to the One who gave us the gift of love itself,” says West. “My hope is that these songs create moments of joy, reflection, and togetherness for anyone who listens.”

Happy Birthday, Stacy! Anytime our birthdays fall during the week, we either celebrate the weekend before or after. It’s just more fun, but I think I’m ready to stop having them. Okay, the presents can keep coming and other fun stuff, just no more upping my age by a year. I could reverse the numbers to say I’ll be 46 this year. That sounds a who lot better than 64, doesn’t it. lol Anywho, I hope you have a wonderful time with dinner and the Nutcracker. That sounds quite fun! Fabulous music, just love Trace Adkins voice. Have a boogietastic week and happy Christmas season, darlin’! xo
Happy birthday!
I’ve lost a couple of people dear to me at Thanksgiving/Christmas time (and nearly lost one last year) so I really feel Trace Adkins’ song. The Dysfunctional Christmas song has become a favorite of mine. Nice selection this week!
