Hello my favorite Monday peeps! Geez oh pete, we’re already halfway through November! Hard to fathom that Thanksgiving is next week! 🦃 Meanwhile, since it is Monday, you know that Monday means music! This week is a freebie week, so grab your favorite tune(s) and come dance with us, won’t you?
Let’s start with a song from this favorite artist – I didn’t realize he was the winner of the very first season of Australian Idol way back in 2003! He recently released a new album, the first in five years. He said:
“I know it’s been a long time, but I also want to say things. I don’t feel like I can go through enough life in a year or a year-and-a-half to make a whole body of work. [This new album] is very, very lyrical. It’s very much about the poetry side of it and it’s very personal. So that can only happen authentically if I’ve lived some life and over four or five years, I’ve definitely lived some more life and have things to say.”
“There’s always going to be periods of just tough, thick stuff to get through. I don’t need to survive through it. I can still thrive through that period, if I’ve got the right circle. As you get older, you realise you can’t please everyone. And in the pursuit of doing so, you actually become nothing to everyone. I don’t have to spend more energy defending untruths or defending things that don’t matter. I can just rest in this circle. And if I had a thousand lifetimes, a thousand times, one hundred times around the sun, I would want this same circle. And that’s pretty much what the album’s about.”
Get ready for goosebumps, here’s Guy Sebastian with “The Keys”:
Next up is a brand new song from this favorite artist, from his recently released new album. He posted on social media about the song:
“The ‘Survive’ EP is out today and along with it the last song ‘The Day That I Die’. This is a tune I wrote about the lowest I’ve felt in my life and truth be told it feels a bit weird putting it out there for people to hear but I’m honestly the proudest I’ve ever been about a song with this one. It’s been an absolute pleasure being back releasing music and playing shows the last six months and I’m honestly so pleased to say I feel so far removed from the place I was when I wrote this song. Looking forward to much more next year, love ya all x “
Here’s Lewis Capaldi with “The Day That I Die”:

Next this artist made her music comeback with a new song. About her new album, she said:
“I feel like it’s myself talking to my younger self about an experience that we had and just reflecting on it. And being OK with it and having a little tongue-in-cheek moment with yourself. Accepting your past and being good with where you landed. This was a brief time with a lover that left me with so many questions… It felt like a good place to start.”
The song was released on November 6, 2025, as the lead single from her upcoming sixth studio album. Her first music release in nearly a decade, she co-wrote the pop rock song with her husband, Matthew Koma, as well as Madison Love and Brian Phillips. The song’s lyrics reference the artist’s regret for dating an older man in the past.
Without further ado, here’s Hilary Duff with “Mature”:
Last but certainly not least, this favorite artist recently dropped a brand-new album (and yes, I ordered it…heh!), and while I couldn’t find any background on this particular song, it has a positive, uplifting message and encourages listeners to “be the reason someone smiles.”
Give a listen to the always amazing Bryan Adams with “Be The Reason”:
That’s a wrap for this week – have a great Monday! See you on the dance floor!
Now, onto the particulars of Monday’s Music Move’s Me:
I have the supreme honor and privilege of being a co-host with the inimitable Xmas Dolly and our musical cohort, the awesome Cathy from Curious as a CAThy, and Alana of Ramblin’ with AM!

Interesting line-up and all new to me. Lewis Capaldi’s song is so poignant! 🥹 Nice to see Hilary Duff making a comeback, as well as Bryan Adams.
I never cease to be amazed at the amount and level of musical talent that exists in this world. I am blessed with the gift of listening and appreciating a variety of genres but I never learned to play an instrument, much to my disappointment. Thanks for sharing this playlist.
Hilary Duff? My kids used to like her. She’s all grown up now, isn’t she?
Amazing music, all new to me song picks! My favorite in this set is your last track by Bryan Adams. Thanks for the introduction, Stacy! I’m with you, I can’t believe Thanksgiving is next week. Whee, has this year ever flown by! Have a boogietastic week, my lovely!!! xo
Lewis Capaldi’s song – wow. I listened to the live performance. That was my favorite, but Bryan Adams’ song was right behind it. Happy to know he’s produced new material. Alana ramblinwitham
