Hurry-Up-And-Wait Mode with Random Funnies: Random Tuesday Thoughts

Here we are, halfway through November – Thanksgiving is next week, people! 🦃 It’s my favorite time of year, though, so you won’t hear any complaining from me. Well, except maybe how fast time keeps flying by.

Speaking of time flying by – this little munchkin turned 23 on Saturday! GAH! Anyone have a time machine to go back to 2002?

We went to a Hibachi restaurant for dinner Saturday night – crazy how expensive eating out has gotten! The food was excellent, however, and it’s always fun to watch the show the cook puts on. 

Still in hurry-up-and-wait mode on my new car which is still at the Cadillac dealer – they got the part in, but haven’t had a chance to get to it to do the repair. The hope was they’d get to it yesterday (Monday) but now they’re hoping they’ll get to it today… I’m not holding my breath, but I do hope I can get it back sometime this week.

Seems like the last couple of weeks have been nothing but hurry-up-and-wait mode – not only for my car, but for my hearing aids to come back. I mean, it’s only week two, and they did say it could take “two or three weeks”, so I’m basically two-thirds of the way there. I’m truly hating the OTC ones I’ve been wearing – I take them out and sit in blissful silence every chance I get! 😅

I did have my hearing test last Friday to initiate getting a brand new pair—no significant change in my hearing from the past three years, so that’s good news. Next appointment is the day before Thanksgiving to order the new ones, and I’ll be picking them up the day after Christmas (unless they come in early – which would be cool, but I’m not counting on it). 😉
