Hello my favorite Monday peeps! Hope your weekend was less exciting than ours – Mother Nature decided to have a party over here! We’ve had a ‘river aloft’, which dumps so much rain in our area, you’d get soaked the minute you walked out the door. More on that tomorrow! Meanwhile, since it is Monday, you know that Monday means music! This week is a freebie week, so grab your favorite tune(s) and come dance with us, won’t you?
Let’s start with a brand-new song from this favorite artist, who released her latest album last Friday (October 24th). This song was the second release from the new album, her eighth studio effort and first solo project in four years.
I couldn’t find a specific story behind this song, but did discover (even though I’ve loved this artist for years) that she’s an Oscar-nominated, 11x GRAMMY Award-winning singer, songwriter, and producer, as well as a 2x Emmy Award-winning composer, lyricist, and writer, and a #1 New York Times bestselling author. Sheesh!
Here’s the inimitable Brandi Carlile with “A War With Time”:
Next up is a new song from this favorite artist – his third since his comeback after stepping away from the spotlight for a few years. The latest run of live shows come after the singer was forced to cut his set at Glastonbury 2023 short after struggling with tics caused by Tourette’s. He later announced he was planning to take some time off to focus on his health. His new album will be dropping on November 14th, and I’ve already got it pre-ordered. 😁
This new song is described as a “raw and intimate exploration of what it means to move on – or at least try to. Honest and understated, the song captures the struggle to let go.” Since coming back from his hiatus, he has teamed up with BetterHelp to provide 734,000 hours of free online therapy. Announcing the collaboration, he shared:
“Therapy is the reason why I am able to be a musician again”.
Here’s the amazing Lewis Capaldi with “Almost”:
Next is a song that the main artist reworked by collaborating with another artist – that’s about all I could find on this song…heh! Two different worlds — one built on rebellion, the other on resilience. Both pure rock souls. 🤘
Without further ado, here’s Bon Jovi and Avril Lavigne with “Living in Paradise”:
Last but certainly not least this favorite artist recently dropped the music video for one of his new singles. The music video stars Phoebe Dynevor, an English actress who rose to international fame for her role as Daphne Bridgerton in the Netflix period drama series Bridgerton. I love that show, and I love Phoebe (aka Daphne)!
Phoebe is playing the role of the artist’s wife in the romantic music ideo – he explained:
“My original Camera music video idea was using private home footage of mine and Cherrys key moments of our relationship. But as you guys know, we are an intensely private couple, and some things we wanted to keep just for us. So I recreated a few key moments of our relationship for the music video with the wonderful @phoebedynevor. It was so fun shooting this video, almost felt like a holiday for the whole shoot. It was all done on iPhone, and directed by the wonderful @emilnava.”
He’s living in the moment with the love of his life:
I don’t need a camera to capture this moment / I’ll remember how you look tonight for all my life / When everything is black and white, your color’s exploding / There’s somethin’ in the way you shine / I don’t need a camera when you’re in my eyes
The music video sweet visuals captured special milestones and everyday moments of their blooming relationship, from meeting on a first date to getting engaged backdropped by a beautiful sunset to standing on stage in front of thousands of fans at his concert.
Get ready for goosebumps, here’s Ed Sheeran with “Camera”:
That’s a wrap for this week – have a great Monday! See you on the dance floor!
Now, onto the particulars of Monday’s Music Move’s Me:
I have the supreme honor and privilege of being a co-host with the inimitable Xmas Dolly and our musical cohort, the awesome Cathy from Curious as a CAThy, and Alana of Ramblin’ with AM!

How many times.es have you seen Ed in concert? This is a nice set and I enjoyed it
Brandi Carlile sounds so vulnerable. Her voice is extraordinarily beautiful for this song. Thanks for introducing it to me. Bon Jovi and Avril Lavigne voices blended well together. I enjoyed your music today, Stacy, as always. Have a boogietastic week and stay dry if you can! xo
OMG Bon Jovi
I hadn’t had Brandi Carlisle on my radar until I saw her perform with Elton John on TV (I forget the context and it wasn’t even that long ago). She is so talented, and I really enjoyed her song. My favorite was hers but Almost was right behind it. Alana ramblinwith
Hi Stacy. LOVE the Ed Sheeran song and video. Pairing up with Phoebe certainly worked out beautifully. And I really like the Bon Jovi song as well. He sure ages well! Dang!! 😉
I didn’t know the first two artists so thanks for the introduction to them. Very inspiring the Lewis Capaldi song & his story.
Have a great week.
