Greetings and Salutations, my favorite Monday peeps! October is already speeding by – halfway through (as of Wednesday)! Somebody stop this way too fast ride! Since it is Monday, you know that Monday means music! This week is a freebie week, so grab your favorite tune(s) and come dance with us, won’t you?
Let’s start with a brand new song from this favorite artist who released her latest album on October 3rd (and yes, I have it…heh!). This song includes numerous references to her relationship with her new fiancé, where she pledges loyalty to an honorable and deserving man for saving her from a death similar to that of Ophelia, a character in William Shakespeare’s tragic play Hamlet.
Throughout the song, she recalls moments when he supported her, drawing a parallel to how Ophelia might have been saved if she had received help. She also reflects on the period before they got to know each other. References include his career as a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, his public declaration of intent to court her on his podcast, which he compares to a megaphone, his nods to his team, and his frequent use of the phrase “keep it one hundred”.
The number 100 also symbolizes the sum of the couple’s signature numbers, 13 and 87, both of which were referenced on Instagram and the podcast ahead of the release. She credits her football beau with saving her from “insanity, drowning, deception, and purgatory” brought on by past relationships and the isolation of fame, citing him as the reason she avoided an Ophelia-like fate.
Here’s the inimitable Taylor Swift with “The Fate of Ophelia”:
Next up is a new song collaboration by a French DJ who teamed up with a favorite American singer-songwriter and an Australian singer-songwriter, released on October 10th. This is the first time the three have worked together, recording the song back in May.
For the DJ, this is his first single since he was crowned the World’s Number One DJ by DJ Magazine (aka DJ Mag), an honor he has now claimed five times. Meanwhile, for the American singer-songwriter, the track is his first single since his compilation album was released back in June. It’s the second collaborative single for the Australian singer-songwriter of 2025.
Get ready to be impressed, here’s David Guetta, Teddy Swims and Tones and I with “Gone Gone Gone”:
Next is a brand new single from this favorite bro-duo; the release marks their return after a year away from touring and introduces the first track from their forthcoming 2026 album. Known for their cinematic sound and faith-centered storytelling, the Nashville-based brothers said this song reflects a renewed clarity and creative energy following a time of rest and recalibration. They said:
“It’s been quite the year for all of us, hasn’t it? For us, it’s been a time to re-create, be with family, pray, recalibrate, and let God breathe fresh vision into our hearts. Out of that refining has come a renewed clarity and passion. World on Fire is an anthem of joy and hope set to a global rhythm—marking the start of a brand-new era.”
In a “Story behind the song” video, one of the brothers said the song’s title intentionally turns a familiar phrase on its head.
“Let’s not pretend there’s a lot going on in the world right now, and one could even say the world has been on fire. But interestingly enough about this song, this is flipping the phrase on its head. This really represents being bold, being brave, being powerful, being optimistic, being hopeful—because there’s so much to live for. God has given so much, and there’s opportunity and beauty. Stepping out into that bright, bold, beautiful future is really what this song represents for us.”
The guest vocalist said his contribution to the song was inspired by his grandmother’s encouragement to use one’s God-given light to impact others.
“My grandmother was always such a stickler for taking the light that God put within us and making a lasting impact with other people that we come in contact with. Being that city on a hill that everybody can see—and boasting on who God has called us to be—actually makes a lasting impact.”
Without further ado, here’s for KING + COUNTRY and Taylor Hill with “WORLD ON FIRE”:
Last but certainly not least this rising pop group have just released their debut seven-track EP, landing just one day before the band kicks off their first global tour across North America, Australia, and Europe. With sold-out shows already locked in for New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Paris, Amsterdam, Manchester, and Birmingham, the band’s momentum is undeniable.
The music video pays homage to the iconic ’90s and ’00s campaigns from Gap and Calvin Klein — elevated, stylish, and bursting with energy to mirror the pure adrenaline of the group’s live show.
