Hello my favorite Tuesday peeps! First, I want to apologize for lagging waaaay behind on visiting your fun Tuesday posts – I’m going to be able to get caught up this weekend, so don’t be alarmed if you see me skulking over on your blogs going waaaay back…heh! I appreciate your patience and hanging in there with me! 🥰
So I’m loving my new car so far, even though I’ve only driven it twice since I got it – my hubby was giving me a hard time about that, said if it were him, he’d be finding any excuse to drive it every day! I suppose if I weren’t so buried with work, and considering I work from home, I haven’t had a chance to go willy nilly out and about.
I do have to drive it that hour+ back to CarMax on Friday, though, they’ve set up a service appointment for me to address the issues my car has right out of the gate – the passenger lumbar support/adjustment doesn’t work, nor does the massage feature. When the hubby was kindly detailing my car for me the first weekend I had it, he noticed a small (but troubling) cut/slice/tear on the side of the driver’s seat, so they’ll be fixing both those issues.
I brought to their attention that this car is missing the Adaptive Cruise Control and the Head Up Display that were clearly listed on the sales page of this particular car, and those were options that were part of my “I’d really like to have these in my next car” list, and I would have kept looking if this car didn’t have those…which it turns out it doesn’t.
They’re going to make it ‘right’, though – they’re going to check to make sure all the other options are present and accounted for (so far I haven’t noticed any others ‘missing’), and since those features would no doubt have affected that sales price, they’ll be working up the numbers and I’ll have to do what they call a “return and repurchase”. Sure, that means doing the paperwork all over again, but hey, we’re potentially talking about a few thousand dollars, I’m cool with doing the paperwork again.
And perhaps I’ll peruse their website between now and then and if a better one shows up, I might just ask to do a swap. I don’t think it’ll come down to that, though – I love the car, so I’d be cool with having the sales price adjusted. 😉
Well, tomorrow’s Tax Day for those of us who file an extension back in April like I do. I prefer to do that, for one it gives me more time to compile all the documents needed (since I do our taxes), and two, when there’s a refund, it’s nice to have that just in time for Christmas shopping. I got them filed electronically yesterday, so we’re golden.
Speaking of Christmas…
Let’s jump to the funnies, shall we? This cracked me up (and so true!):
