Something In The Heavens there’s Living Proof, so don’t be DEPRESSED, Stay (If You Wanna Dance)

Hello, my favorite Monday peeps! Final Monday of September already! Are you ready for Christmas yet? Because that’s right around the corner, you know. 😅 Since it is Monday, you know that Monday means music! This week is a freebie week, so grab your favorite tune(s) and come dance with us, won’t you?

Let’s start with a brand new song from this favorite Scottish singer-songwriter, that was just released on September 18, 2025. Prior to release, he teased it on his social media channels, then on September 3rd, some of his fans received a bouquet in the mail, alongside a signed card with the lyric “‘Something in the Heavens’ tells me that we’ll be together again,” handwritten on the front. When opened, a short snippet of the song plays. Pretty cool, no? I wish I was on that list!

Get ready for goosebumps, here’s the amazing Lewis Capaldi with “Something In The Heavens”:

Next up is a brand new song collaboration by one of my favorite OG artists with a new favorite artist, which is a reimagined version of a track from the OG artist’s band’s 2024 album. Are you following that so far? The collaboration was born from a chance meeting at the 2024 MusiCares Person of the Year Gala, where the new favorite artist performed in honor of the OG artist.

Their friendship quickly grew, leading to the creation of this new version of the song. The OG artists explained that the album was inspired by his vocal cord surgery and subsequent rehab:

“I was singing well enough in the studio for the recording, but the vocal demands and rigors of touring were still out of reach for me. Without the ability to tour or promote an album we were all very proud of, I decided to call on some friends to help me in my time of need.”

The album is described as a collection of collaborations that reflect the support he received from fellow musicians during a challenging time in his career.

Get ready to be impressed, here’s Bon Jovi and Jelly Roll with “Living Proof”:

Next is a brand new song from this favorite artist, an honest yet darkly witty exploration of mental health, self-image, and the everyday battles hidden beneath a smile. It lays bare the contradictions of living with anxiety and sadness in a world that demands constant positivity. She captures the paradox of laughing through the pain with relatability and candor. She posted on social media when she dropped the song:

“A song for the depressed crew! Hope this makes you feel a little less alone when you listen to it. And hopefully it puts a smile on your face too. I can’t help but write songs about what I’m going through in my life and seems as though a lot of people feel the same 🥹 let’s dance and cry and laugh all at once.”

Interesting to note: Beyond her work in music, the artist has become a multifaceted public figure and a passionate advocate for mental health. This is a cause she has championed through her YouTube documentary, How to be Anne-Marie, and by fronting ITV’s “Britain Get Talking” campaign.

In 2021, she also released her debut book, the Sunday Times ‘Best Seller’ You Deserve Better. Part memoir and part practical self-help guide, the book drew on her own experiences to help readers tackle life’s challenges. As an official ambassador for Mind Charity, The Princes Trust, and the Trussell Trust, she uses her platform to raise awareness and support for important social causes.

Without further ado, here’s Anne-Marie with “DEPRESSED”:

Last but certainly not least is a brand new song from this favorite artist, that comes at the tail end of a breakthrough year which has seen him pick up the BRITs Rising Star Award, as well as heading out on tour across Europe with his good friend Ed Sheeran. The new song is all about the importance of escaping the monotony of everyday life for something greater. He said:

“This song is about escaping the cycle that makes life feel smaller than it really is. At its heart, it’s about connection, freedom, and choosing to live for now.”

Get ready to dance, here’s Myles Smith with “Stay (If You Wanna Dance)”:

  4. Hi Stacy,
I couldn’t find your comment section the other day. Not sure why but I found it today! Great post. I SOOOO loved Bon Jovi & Jelly Roll. What a great combo. All these songs and artists were new to me, except Bon Jovi of course. Really appreciated their songs and what you shared about each of them.
It’s good to see some old friends still here after all these years!
