Hello my favorite Monday peeps! Today’s a trifecta of birthdays – my big sis, Kimn, my Aunt Susie, and friend (and gig partner to the hubby), Johnny Ray!
Since it is Monday, you know that Monday means music! This week is a freebie week, so grab your favorite tune(s) and come dance with us, won’t you?
Let’s start with a new song from this artist who has thus far scored six Grammy nominations, including Song of the Year and Best Country Solo Performance , s well as Best New Artist. He said about this newest release:
“The response to this song the past 12 hours has been unreal! It’s telling how many people feel the weight of today’s problems. In a world that feels heavy at times, we all need a little light. This song is my reminder that even in the darkest moments, there’s always hope.”
This song connects deeply with the struggle to find the light in the dark times. It’s his storytelling and imagery that create a powerful anthem for life’s challenges.

Next up is a brand new song by this favorite artist, who brought back a Harry Potter alum 14 years after he appeared in this artist’s “Lego House” music video. 14 years ago! This time, the alum plays the same obsessed fan he played in the first video. It’s hilarious!
This time around, the character can’t stop seeing the artist everywhere he goes, including on billboards, at the gym, on TV and in a movie. But as he’s at the altar, and about to be married, the bride turns into the artist.
The lyrics explain a little bit:
I used to love you, now every day I hate you just a little more / Life got better when I lost you, but every day I hate you just a little more and more and more / Blame it on your history and say it’s not your fault / I can’t call you crazy ’cause you could be diagnosed
The artist said:
“I hadn’t worked with @rupertgrint in 14 years since Lego house, so didn’t know if he’d say yes to this idea. But I’m so glad he did. It’s such a fun, bonkers video. Longest video shoot I had ever done at that time, and deffo the most costume changes. Rupert, my brother from another mother, thank you for throwing yourself into this, it wouldn’t exist had you said no.”
The day after the video dropped, the Grammy winning artist made another post to thank his fans for their reaction to the song. He also encouraged them to make videos with the song targeted to their exes.
“Overwhelming response to this song and video. Releasing something this personal always feels really bare and open, but I always find the deeper and more honest I go with lyrics, the more people connect to it. Also, who knew I looked so amazing in a wedding dress. The sound is up now if you wanna start making videos directed to your exes with the song, I wanna see em all, get creative gang.”
I’m looking forward to seeing what creative videos start popping up!

Get ready for some crazy fun, here’s Ed Sheeran with “A Little More”:
Next up is a brand-new song (just this past Friday, August 15th) from this favorite artist, the third single from his upcoming album. The album is his first body of work since 2023. He said about the new album:
“It’s a whole project about just manifesting, creating more of what you want in the world, and knowing that you can create it.”
And about the song he said:
“Every song release is a big deal. This song has waited a long time to have its moment. I remember when Sara Haze, Sam Ellis and I wrote [this song] (the same day we wrote another song called Madness), it held a special place in my soul as a human. So much so, that it kept disappearing from different projects as if to wait for the right moment to be introduced to the world. Being on Evergreen, song release number 3… it’s crazy how things work themselves out for the best when you trust the process.
I always wanted to change the lyrics of the first line because I was afraid it wouldn’t make sense. But the more I worked with it, the more personal it became, and the more truth it carried. I would tell you what it means to me, but I want to hear how all of you connect with it first, so I’ll just say this…
This one is for anyone in a season of life where the structure of you that you’ve built for the world needs to take a break and make space to care for the human inside. Whether you have those people, or that person in your life that loves and supports that human, or you’re looking forward to meeting that person someday, this is for you. You deserve to be the human you are, and you deserve to be loved and seen for that human. And if you haven’t felt it yet, I can’t wait for you to feel what it’s like to find someone who makes you feel safe enough to be Fragile.”
Give a listen to Hunter Hayes with “Fragile“:
Last but certainly not least from Australia’s very first Eurovision representative back in 2015, is a power new single that is less a song and more a mission statement: a rally cry for anyone who’s been up against it and kept swinging. He said:
“The message is clear: even when you’re facing the biggest mismatch, it’s not time to sit back — it’s time to knuckle down and get on with it. ‘[This song]’ is a gritty, honest battle cry for courage, resilience, and owning the tough moments that shape who we are.”
Get ready to dance, here’s Guy Sebastian with “Get It Done”:
That’s a wrap for this week – have a great Monday! See you on the dance floor!

Oh my …Grint and Sheeran …
Some fun tunes…it was funny to see Ed as a young kid, a woman, a bride…hahaaa. I like the last song especially.
Fun set this week, full of toe tapping tunes. Ed Sheeran’s was my favorite video, but my favorite song was Shaboozy’s.
