Anniversary Fun; Mom’s 80th Birthday Fun; Random Funnies: Random Tuesday Thoughts

Hello, my favorite Tuesday peeps! Yesterday was our 22nd anniversary – I know, right? This was way back in ’97 when we were dating:

Married since 2003 – we got married by the J&P on August 4th, then had a combo housewarming/surprise wedding at the 1817 farmhouse we’d just bought in PA a couple of months later. I even got decked out in a wedding dress and had a bunch of bridesmaids – my sister was the photographer for that (thank you, sis!):

The hubby is getting harder and harder to buy gifts for – I remember him mentioning something he really wanted sometime last spring, so I ordered one that was supposed to arrive by this past Saturday.

Of course, Murphy’s Law decided to step in, and I got an email from Amazon alerting me that it was canceled, as they were out of stock. So I scrambled to find another one, and luckily did – but of course that one won’t be delivered until sometime next week.

Luckily, we’re apparently on the same wavelength; the hubby mentioned that the gift he got me was running late as well. 😅 We at least went out to dinner last night, so it was a nice date night to celebrate. 🥰

Mom’s 80th Birthday Celebration last Thursday was tons of fun – it was great to see some people I haven’t seen in years. Mom had a lot of fun and enjoyed all her friends showing up:

My sister was in town from Kansas – she flew back early this morning (Tuesday), but got to spend some excellent quality time with my mom while she was here.

My brother and his wife were awesome hosts – I always love spending time in their company and at their house:

My bro even smoked a brisket overnight for the occasion – everyone enjoyed the food and merriment! I made sure to take pics of each of the guests with my mom, and of course had to have someone take a pic of me and the hubby with her, too:

And of course, the audio guestbook was a hit – after I explained it to everyone a couple of times, of course! And I forgot it at my brother’s house, so I’ll have to plan another trip up there to retrieve it so I can download all the cool messages for my mom. 😂
