Monday has arrived! Weekends are never long enough, in my opinion. Today is our 22nd anniversary – I know, right? This was way back in ’98 when we were dating:
Married since 2003 – we got married by the J&P on August 4th, then had a combo housewarming/surprise wedding at the 1817 farmhouse we’d just bought in PA a couple of months later. I even got decked out in a wedding dress and had a bunch of bridesmaids – my sister was the photographer for that (thank you, sis!):
Enough of that – since it is Monday, you know that Monday means music! This week is a freebie week, so grab your favorite tune(s) and come dance with us, won’t you?
Let’s start with a song that’s been around for quite awhile – I heard it recently on something I was watching, so it brought it back as an earworm in my head, and I thought I’d share the love…heh!
This is a song that was redone by this Thai American actor and singer-songwriter. As a teenager, he released four studio albums, which had several of its records banned on the radio. After moving to London, he became highly influenced by blues musicians as well as more modern musicians and bands.
Fun fact: He is the grandson of Prince Chula Chakrabongse, the great-grandson of Prince Chakrabongse Bhuvanath, and the great-great-grandson of King Rama V of Siam.

Next up is a brand new song by this favorite band—I couldn’t find background info about the song, but certainly enjoyed it, and they performed it live last Friday (August 1st) on the Today Show—the song was just released on July 18th.
Give a listen to Maroon 5 with “California”:
Next up is a brand-new song from this favorite artist, and also happens to be his first new music of 2025. He teased the song last month on his Instagram with the lyrics:
How in the world were we / Supposed to memorize our fake IDs / I thought your dad was gonna kick my ass / When we missed your curfew / By a song and a half he was so damn mad / Mr. Lester’s class ain’t got a clue how but somehow I passed / Friday night light butterflies until gametime / Trying not to trip when we ran through that sign / It was 1999 / Now I’m supposed to know how to smile without a drink / We got broken dreams and bills to pay that I can’t / All we buried then were dogs now I’m burying my dad / I want my 17 year old problems back / Yeah I want my 17 year old problems back
And that, my friends, is the only background info I was able to find for this song so far. If he puts out an official music video, perhaps there will be more!

Last but certainly not least is another brand-new song by this nine-time Grammy Award winner and 2023 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee, and one of my all-time favorite artists, who is never one to hold back, and holds true to her shoot-it-straight style with this song, which offers a frank look at the lack of compassion and understanding in today’s society.
This thoughtful new song gains even more significance, urgency, and relevance in our current historical context, as she continues to produce essential new music that not only uplifts individuals but also unites them, while addressing the harsh realities and difficult truths that people across the nation confront daily.
Give a listen to the inimitable Sheryl Crow with “See You On The Other Side”:
That’s a wrap for this week – have a great Monday! See you on the dance floor!
Now, onto the particulars of Monday’s Music Move’s Me:
I have the supreme honor and privilege of being a co-host with the inimitable Xmas Dolly and our musical cohort, the awesome Cathy from Curious as a CAThy, and Alana of Ramblin’ with AM!
Want to join in the fun? It’s easy – just find a tune that rocks your boat, post it and link up – don’t forget to grab Xmas Dolly…er, um, I mean her button…over at her place here. Check out Xmas Dolly’s sidebar for the random themes we sport each week – and you can always ask for a specific theme of music you like, too. Check out the other music lovahs and let’s jam!

What an interesting theme using problem(s) song titles and lyrics. I hope there’s no current problems you’re facing but reflecting on problems from yesterday. It’s funny how big they seemed then and now they’re small in comparison to what we face. It’s a person perspective, isn’t it?
My song pick in this set is “99 Problems”. I am going to YT to sample more of Hugo’s stuff. Thanks for tuning my ear to him. Have a boogietastic week, Stacy! xo
I forgot to say, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! 22 years and going strong, eh? The years have a way of zipping by so fast. One day, you’re newly married and the next decades have flown by ya. I hope y’all have many more happy years of togetherness. Always remember why you love each other, then things that nag at you won’t matter. 😉
Happy anniversary!
Thanks for the concert and Happy Anniversary! 🎉🥂🍾 Coincidentally, it is our anniversary as well, but we got married in 1973. It’s amazing how quickly 52 years go by! 😲 May we both have many more years of wedded bliss. 💍
Love the musical pics especially like the great, great grandson of the King of Siam
