Hello, my favorite Monday peeps! Hope you all had a great weekend! Hard to fathom the end of next week will be the beginning of August already – where is the time going? Since it is Monday, you know that Monday means music! This week is a freebie week, so grab your favorite tune(s) and come dance with us, won’t you?

Let’s start with a brand-new song from this trio of brothers; it’s a single from their upcoming seventh studio album. The bouncy, ready-for-hot-fun-in-the-summertime single is an homage to a love that makes everything feel right, even when things are going wrong

I woke up late, missed the alarm, can’t find the keys to my car / What do you know? Power went out, I’m getting dressed in the dark / Finally got out the door, but on the way, they cancelled my flight / Nothing’s working anymore, feels like I’m losing my mind / I can’t lose when I’m with you / Oh-oh, you give me everything, everything that I need, everything that I need to keep smiling through-ooh-ooh

I can’t lose when I’m with you / Oh-oh, made out of magic and I gotta have it, I made it a habit to keep smiling through-ooh-ooh

The song was first featured as the official anthem of ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball coverage, and the uplifting video debuted in partnership with Mastercard in support of Stand Up To Cancer during Tuesday night’s (July 15) 2025 MLB All-Star game. They said:

We debuted ‘[this song]’ – a song about love, strength, and showing up for the people you love. Dedicated to all of those who Stand Up To Cancer. Teaming up with Mastercard to uplift fans who’ve found hope and healing in our music means so much to us. ‘[This song]’ is a song we hope can carry different meanings for everyone who hears it and, for those who need it, a reminder of their own strength.”

Next up is a new song by this favorite artist—I couldn’t find background info about the song, but the artist posted on social media:

“‘Growing Up & Growing Old’ is out now! This song really sums up how grateful I am to walk through life with Emily, my best friend by my side. I think there’s probably nothing the devil hates more than a husband and wife who decide to put God at the center of their marriage and a Christian family staying strong through thick and thin. I hope this song hits your heart the way it hits mine. Here’s to growing up & growing old, and loving each other well.”

Next up is a brand-new song from a surprising (to me) duo: a country star and an American pop singer and actress, with a song tailor-made for harmonizing—which these two do beautifully. It’s a powerful track that’s raised even higher by the country star’s trademark baritone vocals.

For the pop singer, working with the country star was a dream come true. She said:

“It was like a God thing telling me you have to reach out to Blake. When I heard that song, it was Blake’s from the beginning. And Blake made it happen. It felt like this spiritual thing that was bound to happen — something that was just written up there in the stars was having Blake on this record.”

Last but certainly not least is a brand-new song by this nine-time Grammy Award winner and 2023 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee, and one of my all-time favorite artists, who refuses to accept the current political landscape as her new normal. The track was written, recorded, and produced in collaboration with the artist’s 15-year touring band.

In this new song, the artist takes a bold stance on the state of our political climate and the rapid, unpredictable advancements in artificial intelligence, topics she has continued to express strong concern and uneasiness about over the last several years.

Is it science fiction or prediction wrapped in George Orwell? / If the news is fake and fear is hate, and nothing’s immoral / To the leader of the free world / Then, welcome to the new normal

Never one to hold back, the artist continues to use her voice for good, creating fiercely outspoken and timely music that is deeply rooted in authenticity, and this song is no exception. She said:

“What’s happening all around us is so unbelievably bizarre, that my fear is we will truly begin to feel like this is normal. And that’s what terrifies me.”

Of working with her longtime touring band on this song, she says:

“I am so blessed to have the band that I have. For years, we have jammed up such cool stuff during sound checks that we decided we go in and start recording as a band. Can’t wait for everyone to hear the new stuff we are doing.”

  1. Matthew West’s song is just beautiful – loved it! I also enjoyed Blake and Noah’s duet. Thanks for the introduction of all your song picks, m’dear. Have a boogietastic week, Stacy! xo

  2. The Noah Cyrus/Blake Shelton duet is an awesome cut, but I fear it is a little too good for radio play. The Matthew West song is a testimony to what marriage is supposed to look like. After 51 years with the love of my life, everything fits and we walk through life in unison. Have a blessed week..

  3. Thanks for the introduction to these new songs! I especially enjoyed the Noah Cyrus/Blake Shelton collaboration. Hard to believe that July is almost over! Enjoy the rest of your summer.

  4. I don’t know ow these tunes but you ate my go to gal to learn and listen to the new songs coming out. It’s disgusting how that creep, in the oval office, has been tearing down your culture…the Kennedy Centre, PBS and Steven Colbert. Him and the Station wmsettled out of court and I bet Bozo, the orange clown, paid extra but on condition they cancel Colbert. He is going after anyone who speaks ill of him. Wait for Kimmel, The Late Show etc.. to become defunct. Scary times!

  5. My favorite this week was Sheryl Crow. And, I may be somewhat out of touch, but I didn’t know that Miley Cyrus had a sister who also sang.
