Colonoscopy Update and Random Funnies: Random Tuesday Thoughts

Well, we made it to May! Time is, as usual, flying by like nobody’s business! We’re having awesome sunny weather here in the Pacific Northwest – and as per usual, the mornings are chilly (like 37 degrees chilly this morning!) but then gets to the heat later in the day (80 degrees expected later today). Then it’ll be chilly and only get to 69 degrees tomorrow – a rollercoaster of temps, so I’m sure many people can relate to this:

Well, I got my very first colonoscopy all taken care of last Friday – the prep was worse than the actual procedure, when it was all said and done. I was able to enjoy a short nap compliments of whatever the anesthesiologist gave me…heh! 

Apparently, they found and removed 8 (eight!) polyps. I figured, based on my age and what’s typically typical, they’d find one or two, but eight? I’m, of course, nervous about that, and I went down a rabbit hole via Doctor Google to find out what the possibilities are. I won’t get the results of the biopsies for up to two weeks, so I’m in ‘hurry-up-and-wait-and-worry mode. I’ll be sure to keep you posted.

From what I understand (from Doctor Google) is that size matters… the ones they snagged measured between 3mm and 5mm, so according to what I could gather, 10mm size ones are the problematic ones, so I’m hoping my small-ish ones are nothing. Fingers crossed.
