Hello, Monday peeps! I’m still logging way too many hours each week, but you know what? That’s OK – I certainly can’t complain! Meanwhile, it is Monday; you know that Monday means music! This week is a freebie week, so grab your favorite tune(s) and come dance with us, won’t you?

Let’s start with a brand-new song from this favorite artist, which was inspired by his wife and their love story. The track features a vibrant dance beat with influences of Persian music. Several Iranian and Indian artists took part in the recording of the song, playing unique instruments and singing backing vocals. He said:

“Even though it’s completely different to anything that I’ve ever done before, [this song] feels familiar to me. I wanted to create a party atmosphere in a song and Ilya Salmanzadeh, who I worked with on the track, helped bring that to life. He was so inspiring to work with. I wrote [this song] after [Salmanzadeh] suggested trying out making music inspired by his Persian heritage and culture.

I love learning about music and different cultures the more I travel and connect with people. It was like opening a door to a completely new and exciting world. I loved how a lot of rhythms, scales, melodies and instruments were different but similar to the Irish trad music I had grown up with. It was showing to me music connects us all, and really is a universal language.”

Fun fact: The word “Azizam” (عزیزم) originates from Persian (Farsi) and is derived from the root word “Aziz” (عزیز), which means “dear,” “beloved,” or “precious.” The suffix ”-am” (ـم) is a possessive pronoun in Persian, meaning “my.” So, “Azizam” literally translates to “my dear” or “my beloved.”

Get ready dance, here’s Ed Sheeran with “Azizam”:

Next up is another brand new song from this favorite group, which apparently is a follow-up to last year’s award-winning anime. Who knew? A year after the American pop-rock stars soundtracked the acclaimed Japanese anime’s first run of episodes with “Nobody (Kaiju No. 8 ED Theme),” which won the 2025 Japan Gold Disc Award for “Song of the Year by Download,” they returned on April 18 with this song, a single for a special episode of Kaiju No. 8 currently airing in North American movie theaters.

The song finds the lead singing about those moments when we feel unstoppable despite the chaos around us:

Round and round and round we go / Wherever we stop, nobody knows / In the end, we lose control / But right now, we’re invincible

Give a listen to OneRepublic with “Invincible”:

Next up is a brand new song from a five-time Grammy-nominated artist and Brit Award-winning artist who have joined forces for an infectious, folk-inflected track.

Oh me, oh my, would you look in my eyes / We’ll laugh or cry just to feel alive / Oh-woah-woah, no time for living a lie / Oh-woah-woah, time flies, so don’t blink twice

Both artists have spent significant time on the Billboard Hot 100 this year – this song just might keep them there a while longer. 😉

Last but certainly not least is a brand new song from this group, a charming, yet hard-charging tune with a tender message:

In this grand ballroom of nothingness / we soar, we sail to the only song there’s ever been: Love

The super cool music video seems to convey the idea of eternal, timeless love. Shot in a single take at the Budapest train station, it features 29 robotic arms, 60 mirrors, and a stunning array of vibrant props and costumes, resulting in a breathtaking visual experience that is truly beyond words. The lead singer said:

“We’re always drawn to spectacle and wonder, and the goal, this time, was to take them somewhere more heartfelt and emotional than we have before. This song is so personal for me, and the infinite reflections bouncing between two mirrors are a perfect metaphor for the kind of overwhelming, reality-shifting love that I’m singing about. Two simple things come together, and new dimensions burst from them into existence. Magic unfurls endlessly. It’s the impossible, right there before you. That’s the kind of wonder that can bring me to tears.”

Prepare to be mesmerized, here’s OK Go with “Love”:

That’s a wrap for this week – have a great Monday! See you on the dance floor!
