Purging Week is Upon Us with Random Funnies: Random Tuesday Thoughts

Hello, my favorite Tuesday peeps!

Well, this is it! This is the week of the colossal purge! The dumpster did indeed get delivered last week – thankfully, the foreman from the waste management company came up here to verify they’d be able to get the ginormous dumpster up here. He approved access, and that bad boy was delivered successfully.

The hubby has already been filling it up – I didn’t have a chance to start on my part of the purge since I worked until late Friday and then had grocery shopping to take care of on Saturday, which is an all-day process since I do that twice a month and go to three different stores minimum.

Sunday, it decided to pour rain all day, so yesterday, we finally had a break from Mother Nature and doubled down on getting crap out of the house into the dumpster…heh! We’ve made a great dent and are continuing the momentum today. I can’t wait to reclaim my house from Amazon and stuff I thought I might need someday, but I really don’t or won’t.

I’m proud of myself for not falling back into that mode of wanting to keep it just in case as I take a quick cursory look to make sure something important isn’t ending up in the dumpster (or something that can be donated – we have a nice donation pile ready to schlep off to the thrift store this week). Once everything is cleared out of here, I’m determined to be a fully reformed packrat and keep things uncluttered. My stress levels will go way down, no doubt!
