Countdown to Purgification and Random Funnies: Random Tuesday Thoughts

It’s Tuesday again! 😅

Wednesday is the day, people!* Oh yeah, that’s tomorrow! The hubby ordered a much larger dumpster than we got before – so this weekend and the beginning of next week, I’ll be doing my level best to get as much unnecessary crap out of the house as possible.

Of course, looking ahead weather-wise, it’s supposed to rain on the days I’m taking off work to focus on the purging. Although at the time I’m writing this, it looks like it will be sunny and 68 degrees next Tuesday!

I marked myself as ‘OOO-limited availability’ for Monday, Tuesday, and half of Wednesday. There are some tasks that have to get done Wednesday afternoon as well as Thursday – I might be able to get everything done between that day and a half and resume ‘limited availability’ on Friday so I can continue the purge Friday through Sunday to see how much more I can get done while we have the dumpster for two weeks. We can extend it another week if necessary, but we hope to get everything done and purged in those two weeks. Wish me luck!

There’s so much to go through and get rid of, but I’m cautiously optimistic that I can make a huge dent in what needs to be done so I can get organized and finally—finally—get my winemaking room set up!🤞🏻🍷

*The above part I wrote on Sunday to get a jumpstart on this post since last week I had my post all written by 7:55 pm Monday night with a scheduled publish at 8 pm – and forgot to hit that ‘publish’ button, so last week’s post stayed in ‘draft’ mode until I finally noticed my faux pas on Wednesday morning. 🤦🏼‍♀️

There’s apparently a problem with the delivery of the dumpster – it could be that the hubby ordered one that’s too big to maneuver up our hill, so they were talking about potentially leaving it at the bottom of the hill. Um, no, that won’t work, no way can we schlep stuff (and ourselves) up and down that steep hill just to fill up the dumpster.

So, they will send someone out to assess the situation no later than today (Tuesday) and let us know if we can have a dumpster delivered on Thursday. We had a dumpster delivered with no problem two years in a row, and nothing’s changed, so hopefully it will boil down to we have to get the smaller dumpster instead of the ginormous one the hubby wanted.

Four weeks instead of two – I’m actually cool with that since that gives me two extra weekends for purging. I’ll keep you posted!
