Hello Tuesday that feels like a Monday! Well, for those that were able to enjoy a day off yesterday. I actually worked, but it was a ‘no alarm’ day, since most of my clients weren’t working, which made it a much more leisurely workday for me. 😉
So, remember I was hoping we’d get some ‘stick-around’ snow? Mother Nature and Old Man Winter decided to band together and throw us a mega snowstorm last Thursday. We got all the snow in one day; it was crazy.
We had between 6-8 inches in our neck of the woods when it was all said and done that accumulated in a short amount of time. It was so ‘sudden’ (despite the winter weather warnings leading up to it – but really, it changes so quickly no one was truly expecting any ‘decent’ snow…heh!). This was at the beginning of the multiple-hour snowstorm:
We need to cut down those laurels – they’re interfering with our awesome tiny town view! This is a couple of hours later when they finally treated the streets in the downtown area:
This is a section of our front yard viewable from our deck – and yes, that’s a bonafide deer feeder in the pic, we like to keep our family of deer that come to visit from that grove of trees across the way:
We couldn’t get down our steep driveway hill until Saturday – after the temps warmed up and the rain started washing everything away. Now, the snow is completely gone, and we’re back to the dreary, drab ‘normal’ winter here in the Pacific Northwest.
It’s actually supposed to get into the lower 50s this week—and if the forecast stays consistent for the next 10 days, it might even hit 60 degrees by the end of the 10 days. 😮 No chance of a repeat snow-wise. Let’s jump into the funnies, shall we?
