It’s here, it’s here, it’s finally here! It’s Christmas week! Am I ready? Heck no! But that’s OK, I will be. I have the rest of today to try to get all of the presents wrapped. Wish me luck! Meanwhile, it is Monday; you know that Monday means music! This week is a freebie week, so grab your favorite tune(s) and come dance with us, won’t you?

Let’s start with this a cappella group who departs from their usual a cappella style to bring us an epic Christmas tune. Released on their first Christmas album, I think you’ll truly enjoy this. 🙂

Get ready for some fun, here’s Pentatonix with “Please Santa Please”:

Next up is a hilarious song I need to share from Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. You’re welcome.

Get ready for some laughs, here’s Old 97’s From “The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special” with “I Don’t Know What Christmas Is (But Christmastime Is Here)”:

Next up, I shared this Grammy award-winning Christian pop duo’s version of this song a few years ago when they performed it during that year’s CMA Country Christmas. At the end of their powerful performance, there was a brief moment in which time stood still… and all they could hear was complete and utter silence.

It was downright nerve-racking. They were quoted as saying:

“I remember thinking for a split second that we either were going to get booed off the stage or the audience was going to love it. Luckily, for us, it was the latter.”

Indeed, after a few seconds in which the sheer shock of the electrifying performance subsided, the audience erupted with praise for the two brothers who had just went and introduced an audience of mostly country music fans to their brand of unsurpassed electricity.

And yes, this overwhelming response partly inspired the duo to release their first Christmas album within the tumultuous year that was 2020.

“I thank God for Christmas. We need these checkpoints for humanity. Even this year, we need to celebrate love and family and God and the belief that all things work together for good in the end. At least, that is the great hope.

When the rubbish started hitting the fan, with the Nashville tornado and the pandemic and the racial tensions going on, I think we started realizing that we needed to create this album. We truly believe that the Christmas of 2020 will be a Christmas like we have never experienced in our lifetime. This album allows us to offer hope and celebrate what we believe is the greatest music mankind has ever known.”

Fun fact: The cute little drummer boy in the video is one of the brother’s 5-year-old son.

Here’s the amazing for KING & COUNTRY with “Little Drummer Boy”:

Last but certainly not least is a brand new song from this favorite artist, who gives the gift of holiday laughter with his new music video (released on 12/11/24). Full of mistletoe mischief, the fun-loving music video finds the artist and Ol’ St. Nick engaging in some friendly bargaining just before the big day arrives.

A longtime fan of the artist and his iconic country career, Santa is glad to show the towering hitmaker what it’s like to be the man in the red suit—even offering a few thoughtful gifts in exchange for good behavior.

But ultimately, it’s a different sort of merrymaking on the artist’s wish list. The comical video features cameos from the legendary acts Vision in Red, Victoria Pratt, and their adorable furry family member, Gary.

The song once again puts the star’s jolly sense of humor in the spotlight—walking a fine line between raunchy romance and timeless sophistication. With the artist’s hard-to-resist vocal rumble leading the way, a lump of coal likely won’t be all that burns through the night.

Get ready for some hilarity; here’s Trace Adkins with “Naughty List”:

  1. The Guardians of the Galaxy song has become a favorite of mine (the video, too) although I’ve only heard it a handful of times. It and Little Drummer Boy are my favorites for the week.
