Here we are, already halfway through October! Can you believe it? But since it is Monday, you know that Monday means music! This week is a freebie week, so grab your favorite tune(s) and come dance with us, won’t you?
Let’s start with a brand new song from this favorite band, with what will be their final single ever. They said:
“‘This song’ is really the final single. After this, there’s no more singles, because we don’t want to do that. Of all of the songs that have dropped through really quickly, this is maybe the one that I just don’t understand how it happened. I’m so grateful for this song. I don’t know if and when it will connect with who or not, but for me, it’s a really important song. It’s like, after everything we’ve been through, you have all my love. That’s it. That’s how we feel about life and the world and our fans and our critics and everybody. I didn’t really have to do anything on that song. I just played it. I don’t know how to explain that. Even when I’m playing it now, I’m like, how did that come through?
The first time [playing it live] was an unplanned thing, because there was a guy that tried to get onstage and then fell. That was not great in any way. The end of our show was kind of biffed. There was a tension in the air because it was a strange move on his part, and he could have died. Thank goodness he didn’t. So I thought, well, this song is just to kind of calm down. Whatever’s happened, it’s all love.
I love singing it, I love playing it, and I don’t really have anything to say about it other than [our band] has never been cool. Never will be cool. We might be Number One or we might be Number 100. None of it really matters. We get sent these songs and we do them for the people that like them, and even sometimes for the people who don’t like them, so that they can express some aggression at us safely. So with “[this song],” I just feel like, well, relax. These are our songs and this is what we do. And if you like it, amazing. Here it is for you.”
Give a listen to Coldplay with “All My Love”:
Next is a new song from this favorite artist whose new video shows he’s totally gone to the dogs. He’s shown standing outside a service station and driving around with multiple adorable dogs, including his own French bulldog, Lucy. Other dogs play with tennis balls and do little dances. Eventually, he runs through a backyard with all the dogs following him.
The artist said that he put the pups in the video because when the song was finished, he thought,
“Man, this just makes me think of a dog with a head out the window. It was a blast. From now on, I just want dogs in every one of my music videos”.
As far as his dog, Lucy, he said: “She crushed it.”
This single is on his new album, which dropped on October 4th. He said the song was inspired by:
“…life’s unexplainable moments of wonder. The cynical parts of me have tried to explain them away in the past. These days I’m just resigning to the idea that this life might just have more going on than I understand and that’s actually an awesome feeling.”
Get ready for some fun, here’s Andy Grammer with “Magic”:
Next is a new song from this artist that revolves around his emotional pain and struggles with mental health, mentioning having sleepless nights, voices in his head, good and bad days, and not wanting to be out of bed. In the chorus, he acknowledges there are others in a similar position and encourages hope:
“I know I can’t be the only one / Who’s holding on for dear life / But God knows, I know / When it’s all said and done / I’m not okay / But it’s all gonna be alright / It’s not okay / But we’re all gonna be alright”
When he introduced the song on social media, he said:
“For everyone going through something—it’s okay to not be okay, but its all gonna be alright!”
Get ready for goosebumps, here’s Jelly Roll with “I Am Not Okay”:
Last but certainly not least is a new song from this group from their newest album, released this past summer. The song’s lyrics follow the ever-popular sentiment of escape from the rat race of the corporate world. The narrator expresses a desire to leave behind the stress of everyday life for a worry-free beach by himself.
People pleasing planet / Got a million people saying how to plan it / I can no longer stand it / Gonna spend my days telling them to can it / Each and to their own / Got a salesman ringing my phone / Tell me where to go / No I don’t wanna hear the down low
Compared to the other songs on the album, this one most closely resembles the sound of current pop and hip-hop music—both genres that this group dabbles in.
Get ready to dance, here’s Imagine Dragons with “Take Me To The Beach”:
That’s a wrap for this week – have a great Monday! See you on the dance floor!

I can’t believe it’s mid-October, either. The holiday season is upon us. I don’t want to rush things but I’m looking forward to the Thanksgiving/Christmas cooking and baking. Jelly Rolls sound is so true. Life is hard in so many ways. I don’t know how anyone gets through the days without God. He is my only reason that I’ve survived all these years. It’s so easy to let shadows of doubt swallow you whole and lose you forever but God parts the darkness when you let Him to help you see everything is gonna be okay. Have a boogietastic week, Stacy! xo
Great music all, Coldplay and Jelly Roll especially …. I love Imagine Dragons as my eldest grandson introduced me to them and a shared liking is always doubly better. Andy Grammar is new to me and I like him .. thank you 💜💜
Very nice songs. I am getting more and more into JellyRoll.
Nice playlist
I thought the Jelly Roll song would be my favorite, but I decided on Magic. It was so upbeat sounding and I guess I needed that on a cold and gloomy day
Interesting playlist!
Interesting playlist! I especially enjoyed the Jelly Roll song. He has an amazing, emotive voice.
