Hello Monday peeps! It’s finally feeling like fall here in the Pacific Northwest, which makes me a happy camper. Since it is Monday, you know that Monday means music! This week is a freebie week, so grab your favorite tune(s) and come dance with us, won’t you?
Let’s start with one of this artist’s new songs, with a music video that features the first behind-the-scenes look at her year-plus-long tour, which kicked off last March in Arizona and stopped in major cities around the world. The video includes shots of the artist’s background dancers and tour crew members. It also answers fans’ questions about aspects of the show, like where she goes when she “dives” into the stage and how her now-famous cleaning cart gets her to the stage before the performance starts.
It is speculated to be about the artist’s breakup with longtime boyfriend Joe Alwyn, with whom she ended things right before the album’s release. However, some also believe it could be about The 1975 frontman Matty Healy, who she was rumored to be dating before embarking on her current relationship with Kansas City Chief tight end Travis Kelce.

Next is a new song from this favorite band, which is obviously a breakup song. The lead singer said:
“I think a lot of the record is about a relationship. There’s the birth of it, the beginnings of it, the middle of it, the end of it, and then what happens after the end. I think “[This Song]” examines that. It’s about loyalty, hurt, how to deal with hurt, but also being in each other’s lives. Just because a relationship ends, it doesn’t mean it always ends. You might have kids, you might work together, you might be in a same friend circle, you might have to still coexist.
That’s an interesting, uncomfortable place to be. Because when you have heartbreak, you both kind of just want to run away and that is how you heal. You can’t always do that, so then what? “In Your Corner” comes from that place.”
Here’s Imagine Dragons with “In Your Corner”:
Next is a brand new song by this Grammy-nominated group, a heartfelt anthem for navigating life’s uncertainties. The song opens with a powerful question, “Are we gonna sink or swim?”—a metaphor for the make-or-break moments we all face. The tide is rising, and the urgency is palpable, urging listeners to seize the moment or risk a lifetime of wondering “what if.”
The lyrics express a touching blend of optimism and fragility, beautifully capturing the emotional highs and lows of relationships. Lines such as “feeling like a drop in the ocean” and “navigating a sea of emotions” strike a chord, showcasing the band’s talent for conveying intricate feelings with clarity and elegance. The chorus stands out as an anthem, vowing unwavering support even when the “sun fades away” and “stars tumble down.”

Last but certainly not least is a new single from this artist’s upcoming album—it isn’t just the next song to come out as a preview for her new album: It’s also the project’s first love song. In its lyrics, the artist spells out how she wants to be loved: Not like a possession or a subordinate, but rather like the free spirit that she is. She said:
“‘[This song]’ is a love song to me, and it’s one of my favorite songs I’ve maybe ever written. When Luke sent me the initial idea, the lyrics just struck me — they were so beautiful, so raw.
It felt like, ‘This is how I can explain it to the man who’s willing to love a girl like me — a free spirit, a wildflower, a wild card with a big heart and all the love to give. It’s that sentiment of ‘Love her but leave her wild,’ and it’s not really a warning, it’s just a, ‘Let me tell you what you’re getting into, and if you wanna jump off and take this ride with me, then let’s go.”
Get for goosebumps, here’s the inimitable Miranda Lambert with “No Man’s Land”:
Miranda released this acoustic version a few days ago – love seeing someone playing pedal steel besides my hubby! 😀
That’s a wrap for this week – have a great Monday! See you on the dance floor!

These were great to listen to. I like Miranda Lambert even though I. Not much into country music.
Taylor!
A double dose of Miranda Lambert always works for me…
I really enjoyed Taylor Swift’s video. It take a lot of hard work to put on a pop concert and I enjoyed that short peak into her stage preparations. One can hope that Kelce’s “the one”. As for the actual songs, my next favorite after Swift was Miranda Lambert’s acoustic version.
