It’s the last week of August, people! Apparently, I had a Blonde Moment last night, as I had this post written, but it was still stuck in drafts form this morning because I clearly didn’t put the finishing touches on it and hit that ‘schedule’ or ‘publish’ button. Oops! Better late than never!
The hubby is finally on his summer break, just as the schools in our tiny town start back up again. He has hopes and dreams of getting stuff done around here while he’s off – provided, of course, that Mother Nature chooses to cooperate. She’s not been very amenable to him having last week off as the first official week – we had chillier-than-normal weather (definitely not “August” weather) with lots of rain and thunderstorms.
Thankfully this week, we’re getting back to ‘normal’ with temps in the low to upper 80s, then it’ll mellow back down to the mid-to-upper 70s next week.
And for me and my crazy workload, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, and it’s not a train! 😅 Maybe, just maybe, while the hubby’s off, I can recruit him to help me move some stacks’o’boxes that are making it look (and feel) like borderline hoarders mode, and finally get rid of some stuff and get my winemaking room set up before the weather gets bad again. Here’s hoping!
