Anniversary Fun, Gig Fun, and Random Funnies: Random Tuesday Thoughts

Hello, my favorite Tuesday peeps! How’d we get to August already? I tell you what, though, I’m ready for fall to hurry up and get here – not only is it one of my favorite seasons, but I’m ready for the heat to make its exit expeditiously. Sunday was the hubby and my anniversary – I know, right? This was way back in ’97 when we were dating:

Married since 2003 – we got married by the J&P on August 4th, then had a combo housewarming/surprise wedding at the 1817 farmhouse we’d just bought in PA a couple of months later. I even got decked out in a wedding dress and had a bunch of bridesmaids – my sister was the photographer for that (thank you, sis!):

We never get any pics of ourselves ever together (gonna have to remedy that!) since the hubby is camera shy – though I did snag this sort of selfie when he was playing a gig a week ago (he’s on stage playing pedal steel):

I did take a quick pic from my vantage point (I’ll have to take a different pic at the next gig since the keyboard player and drummer are not in view):

August into September is a busy time for the hubster and his pedal steel playing—he’s currently playing pedal steel with three bands, so he has two gigs per weekend for the rest of August into the first couple of weekends in September. I enjoy going to them, though—it’s like a unique date night! Let’s jump into the funnies, shall we? This cracked me up:
