Escaped Zebras and Random Funnies: Random Tuesday Thoughts

We made it to May, people! It’s hard to fathom that in just another month, we’ll already be halfway through the year – wasn’t it New Year just yesterday?!! There was some excitement last week in conjunction with our tiny town – apparently, there were four zebras (yes, I said zebras) being transported from our tiny town to a petting zoo in Montana. The latch to the trailer apparently came loose while on the freeway, so the new owner pulled off near an exit to secure the latch – only to have the four zebras make a break for it.

Those wiley creatures were elusive for several hours until they were able to snag three out of the four. As luck would have it, a former rodeo bullfighter happened to be driving in the area at the time, along with his wife, a horse trainer. The married couple helped capture two of the zebras by constructing a makeshift pen from ropes, metal panels, and a garden hose, which they used to shepherd the creatures back into the trailer.

The third zebra, a youngster, was corralled on another road, and the three rescued zebras were transported to Montana. But that fourth one went on an adventure, eluding capture for days. She was caught on a couple of game cameras while on her adventure:

After six days on the lam, she was finally captured by a group of private citizens and animal control officers and transported to be reunited with her zebra friends in Montana.

I’m just glad she was rescued safely – we have cougars and mountain lions and all sorts of predator-type critters who would have turned her into a meal. I’m so happy she ended up safe and sound! Let’s jump into the funnies, shall we? This is hilarious:
