Hello, favorite Monday peeps! Can you believe we’re already on the last Monday of the Month? Where has the time gone? Since it is Monday, you know that Monday means music! This week is a freebie week, so grab your favorite tune(s) and come dance with us, won’t you?
Let’s start with this rising pop star who just released this new single. In this song, he is shown pursuing a relationship that he knows will most likely result in heartache. The song shares glimpses into the various types and stages of relationships we’ve all experienced.

Next up is a brand-new song from this group. The frontman said:
“Have you ever had a dream more real than reality? Me too. There she was in a long yellow dress. Do I know her? It’s obvious that I’m supposed to find her so I can’t stop looking. She’s out there somewhere.”
The band plans to give the song its live debut at their upcoming performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall on April 30 – their first U.K. tour in seven years. After touring the UK, they’ll come stateside from July through September for their Summer Road Trip tour – a co-headlining trek with REO Speedwagon. They’re coming to my neck of the woods in August – I just snagged some tickets for me and the hubby since it’s our anniversary month!

Next up is a brand new song from this group, which was released on the 35th anniversary of NKOTB DAY—an honorary day that has been celebrated annually since April 24, 1989, when the former Massachusetts governor officially declared it a holiday. I know, right?!
This song is a love letter from the band to their fans—aka Blockheads—and a special bond amongst the fandom; it showcases a different side to the new LP from the previous single. One of the members said:
“The song, A Love Like This, is truly a love letter to our fans. We’ve written and recorded a song that speaks to the enduring, evolving, and magical relationship that we’ve shared over the past 35 years. There is no us without them and certainly would be no NKOTB Day without their unconditional love and support. This is our special way of giving back to them.”
Without further ado, here’s New Kids On The Block with “A Love Like This”:
Last but certainly not least, I stumbled across this video by a favorite artist. This particular song was the 2024 single released by this Scottish singer as the first single from the expanded edition of his second studio album.
The album was originally released on May 19, 2023, with an extended edition being surprise-released on January 1, 2024. About this release, he said:
“Prior to my decision to f— off for a bit, I’d always hoped to release an extended version at some point. After some back-and-forth about whether or not it was the right thing to do, I’ve decided it would be a shame for these five extra songs, which are so incredibly special to me, to sit on my hard drive, never to see the light of day.”
This particular video highlights a woman named Sandra, who started a hedgehog rescue, following her passion for caring for these vulnerable to extinction creatures. She looked after them in her utility room from her home in Woodside, but when admissions gained momentum, it became too much for one person to manage. Sandra met some like-minded people, and Hope for Hedgehogs was born!
Get ready for some goosebumps, here’s the inimitable Lewis Capaldi with “Strangers (Sandra’s Story”:
That’s a wrap for this week – have a great Monday! See you on the dance floor!

Great songs here, love this playlist.
What a beautiful post filled with beautiful music. Lovely.
Have a fabulous day and week. ♥
Nick Youre (is that a misspelling, should there be an apostrophe in there? lol) is new to my ear. Don’t ya think Nick looks a wee bit like the late Davy Jones? “Miles Away” has a real catchy tune. I’m going to YT to listen to more of Nick’s music. Thanks for sharing and for the dance, Stacy. Have a boogietatic week, my dear! xo
Interesting song selections and I had to look into the hedgehog situation in the last song. From some quick research I understand that one reason British hedgehogs are endangered is because of loss of habitat and lack of connectivity of habitat (in other words, suitable land is carved up into pieces that are separated by areas that are dangerous to hedgehogs). That’s true for so many animals, isn’t it? Sadly, what Sandra is doing is only a short term solution but one hopes the song brings their plight to elected officials’ attention.
At this point, aren’t the New Kids the Grumpy Old Men on the Block?
