April Sun-Showers-Sun and Random Funnies: Random Tuesday Thoughts

April has arrived! Did anyone pull any good pranks yesterday? I totally neglected to do any shenanigans. There’s always next year. 😉 We’re entering the days of spring that are typical for us here in the Pacific Northwest – a few days of sun followed by a few days of showers and/or rain, followed by a couple days of sun, then a couple days of rain… you get the picture.

I relish those sunny days, though – and am going to remember them fondly when we’re in the throes of heat during the summer months. You know it’ll happen, especially since we had unusually cold weather during the winter months, the pendulum will swing in the other direction for sure. It’s Mother Nature’s way.

This Friday is my surgery – we’re going to have to set the alarm for 3:30 in the morning so we can be out the door no later than 4:30 am since I need to check in at 6 am, and it’s a 90-minute drive to the hospital. I know, right?! Wait – I can’t have coffee in the morning, so we might be able to get away with getting up at 4 am to leave by 4:30. That extra half hour would be heaven.

Oh, but I have to take a shower the night before and the morning of, so there goes that pipe dream. It’s going to be a long day, especially without my coffee. But silver lining – I’ll get a nice nap. The dogs will be confused at the early hour, of course, but they’ll get over it. Perhaps I should write next week’s post after I get back and am still experiencing wooziness from the anesthesia – what say you? 😂

The weeks have gotten crazier when I thought they’d be mellowing out a bit – joke’s on me! Today (as I write this Monday evening) was especially cray-cray. So I better fast forward to the funnies! This is hilarious:
