Another Tuesday is here… with one less hour. This is not my favorite time of year – Daylight Saving Time. I really dislike losing that hour every not-quite-spring (since those that are they moved it earlier some years back), it takes me a long time to acclimate to one hour less per day.
Who am I kidding? I’m truly not back in sync until we get the hour back in the fall (also moved later in the year by those that are they, extending the lost hour by two extra months…ugh.)

We had some wild and crazy wind and rain storms over the weekend – some people in our tiny town lost power, and things got blown around to the point that in some areas, it looked like a hurricane or tornado whipped through. We were lucky – we didn’t lose power, though internet was a bit spotty at times, and we didn’t have any trees come down, so that was a relief.
We got off easy compared to some, we did have a couple of small branches and a ton of pine needles and pine cones covering our deck, and everything on our deck got blown around and over. My deck heater was on its side, and my tall storage cabinet for my smoker stuff that was tucked under the overhang was sprawled across the deck also on its side with one door popped off.
My gas grill moved from one side of the deck to the other, but my smoker stayed put. Very curious! I suppose if I actually put my smoker pellets and whatnot into that storage thingy, it probably would stay put…heh! Looking forward to spring arriving, that’s for sure!
