Thanksgiving is next week, people! Next week! It’s ‘early’ this year, simply because of the way the ‘fourth Thursday of November’ lands this month. I could sure use an extra week, but here we are. I’ve got everything I need for the big feast (at least I hope I do) – I don’t want to be amongst those who need to go out last minute to pick up forgotten items. Wish me luck! Are you ready??

And guess who’s turning 21 tomorrow? Yeah, you read that right… 21. How on God’s green earth did we get here so fast?! Went from this (2002):

Some days I wish I’d learned the art of ‘not blinking’ because I obviously blinked way too much and the years sped by way too fast! Anyone build a time machine, yet? No? Darn it!

Today I need to dig out all the gifts I’ve been getting over the last six months or so and get them wrapped and ready – some of my ‘safe’ hiding places are ‘safe’ even from me! Wish me luck! Tomorrow we do our traditional thrift shop shopping, gifts will be opened, revelry will be had, and the official Birthday Dinner out will happen on Saturday night for a special Prime Rib dinner. Another ‘tradition’ we always look forward to. 🙂

Speaking of time flying… Christmas is coming fast again this year – I’m keeping this countdown active, either it will be helpful or annoying – or annoyingly helpful!
