Heatwave and Funnies: Random Tuesday Thoughts

Here we are, smack dab in the middle of August – and our heatwave has arrived with a vengeance! Rarely do we see temps in the 100s here in the Pacific Northwest, but apparently Mother Nature thought we were feeling left out of the extreme heat everyone else has been dealing with, so this week she’s doling out 100+ degree weather All. Week. Long. Well, OK, it looks like we might get a possible break on Thursday. Fingers crossed!

I’m already done with the heat, personally, it’s fatiguing to be hot all the time. Seriously. Thankfully the family is OK with ‘grazing’ during this heat since cooking in the already hot kitchen would not be fun for me. When it’s not so hot outside, I’ll use my smoker like an oven, but when it’s this hot? That’s not so fun, either. So grazing it is for this week!

Christmas is only 4.35 months away, people! So of course I’m still keeping this countdown active, either it will be helpful or annoying – or annoyingly helpful!
