Flying Through Summer Heat with Random Funnies: Random Tuesday Thoughts

Look at that – we’ve arrived at the final Tuesday of August! Whoa! Is your head spinning with how fast time is flying by, or is that just me?

It’s happening, my friends – I’m having a dumpster delivered to our driveway on Wednesday this week. The local garbage company is cool, they’ll arrange to have it emptied once a week during the duration of the 4 weeks.

Think of how much junk I’ll be able to purge with four dumpster fills! Sure, it’s a small dumpster, only 4-6 yards, which equals about 2-3 pickup truck loads, but ends up being cheaper than running multiple truckloads of junk to the dump. Not to mention saves time, which is a precious commodity these days.

So this upcoming 3-day weekend will be a very busy one to kick things off – I usually decorate for fall at the beginning of September, so I’ll be able to simultaneously reorganize my holiday decor by finally moving them out of the abyss of the furnace room out into the handy shed I bought over the winter.

That way I can eliminate excess junk while organizing stuff I’m keeping (and yes, I’ll have quite the pile’o’stuff to donate as well) and decorate for fall either this weekend or next. I’ll probably hold off on decorating until next weekend, I should probably focus on the purge and clean mode this weekend to keep focused on the important task at hand!

Speaking of holiday decor, Christmas is only 4 months away! I’m still keeping this countdown active, either it will be helpful or annoying – or annoyingly helpful!
