February has arrived! Is it just me, or does January seem extra extra long?

The groundhog saw his shadow last week – apparently no early spring this year.

I never understood why people lament that there will be 6 more weeks of winter, when in fact there are still 6 weeks of winter before the first day of spring on March 20th. I suppose the groundhog’s moratorium is more for if we’re looking at early spring weather, rather than winter weather finishing out the rest of the 6 weeks of winter. What say you?
