The landscape of our view from our deck is changing – the sad fire in town two weeks ago today resulted in the historical building needing to come down. The view I love so much (this particular shot I took I use as my Zoom background):

If you look in the center of the photograph above, you’ll see the building that burned – I zoomed in on it for you, to the right of the street:

It’s a huge building, covers an entire block both ways. Friday the sad event of them taking it down began:

Monday they continued the dismantling:

The end of an era for sure. The building had a lot of character only found in buildings that were built more than 100 years ago. Hopefully whatever they decide to build in its stead will be created with character as well. Fingers crossed!

Can you believe it’s already Thanksgiving week?! This year is certainly flying by faster than I’m comfortable with. I still have a mega ton to do to prep for Thursday, so how about we jump into the funnies, shall we?

This totally cracked me up:

  1. Now I can’t unsee the turd on fire. Thanks a lot.

Sorry about the building. That’s got to be tough, losing something that big.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. 100% I am the parent in the second one. I have told my kids that there’s leftovers and sandwiches because we’ll have ALL THE FOOD in two days’ time.

  3. My condolences on the loss of the building. It’s truly sad to lose something like that.

Thanks for the laughs, i needed them!
