Rollercoaster Heatwave Days and Random Funnies: Random Tuesday Thoughts

Hello Tuesday! Here in the Pacific Northwest we’re still taking part in weekly heatwaves – Wednesday/Thursday/Friday the past couple of weeks (and this upcoming week) we keep ramping up to excessive heat before sliding back down to ‘normal’ temps. At least we’re getting those few smattering days in between of ‘normal’ temperatures, just wish the house would fully cool down before the heat hits weekly again. I swear we’re gonna be getting A/C before next summer. Mark my words!

So Friday the hubby had his two upper wisdom teeth extracted – he was the Worst. Patient. Ever. when he got home. It’s been exhausting trying to appease a man-child who won’t listen to my sage advice. This too shall pass, I know. I’ll be very happy when he’s healed and no longer Mr. Cranky McCrankster. 😉 

I was supposed to be in Austin right now, one of my clients broke her ankle (in three places!!) so she was going to have me travel with her to help her with one of her clients that she does executive coaching for, for their big Austin event this week. Her doctor, however, advised against her flying, because with her foot/ankle in a cumbersome cast, the swelling that typically takes place flying would no doubt be excruciating, and potentially thwart her healing process.

She sent one of her colleagues to do the ‘in person’ part for her, while she participates and proffers her professionalism virtually. I’m kinda relieved I didn’t have to travel to Austin, though, since it’s way hotter in Texas right now than it is here, and I imagine more humid.
