Missing my BFF and Random Funnies: Random Tuesday Thoughts

Sunday was kind of a sad day for me, it was my BFF’s birthday – as some of you know, she died unexpectedly 2 years ago this past June, and I still miss her terribly. We became fast friends in the 90s, and always talked about eventually buying property in Montana to have horses, growing old together and enjoying our eventual golden years.

Sunday would have been a major milestone birthday I would have loved to celebrate with her, but alas, it was not meant to be. Hopefully she had a blowout party in heaven instead. I’m still waiting for the small urn of ashes her son was supposed to send to me – I want to get a special bracelet that another friend of mine recommended – hopefully soon!

Meanwhile, she would have gotten a kick out of this (and I might have to make arrangements in my will to make this happen when I pass) I could almost hear her laughing about this now:

About StacyUncorked

After 20+ years in the Corporate World and years of infertility, Stacy was surprised when Princess Nagger made her miraculous appearance - deciding to forgo the career and stay home was a no-brainer. As if her hands weren't full enough, 8 years later she and her husband added Little Dude through adoption, adding a whole new dimension (of crazy) to their family and even more sleepless nights. When she’s not refereeing kids, dogs and cats, she loves to write, hence the reason she decided to start her little blog, and because she never got a baby book to mark milestones, this was the next best thing. She also enjoys doing reviews and giveaways for products she or her family would willingly use and can stand behind. She loves to cook and try new techniques to turn ordinary into extraordinary. Crafty by nature, she takes on a lot of unique projects and enjoy seeing the end result. Her favorite, of course, is making her award winning wine out of fruits and grapes. Experiments with water currently underway.

  1. I’m sorry about your BFF. You must miss her a great deal. Loved your funnies! Especially the rental car errands and the red squirrels who drive slowly! Have a great week!

  2. Sorry to hear about your friend; I must have missed that, as I have been reading your blog a long time. It puts my problems into perspective though so maybe that’s a good reminder. I have been whiny on my blog lately and I need to get over it! Your memes were funny and lifted my spirits.

  3. Heeheehee! Feral! Oh, my. That’s going to stick in my brain and makes me giggle for a long time, thank you.

My condolences for your loss. Yes, i probably said it back then, i’ll say it again, because it still needs to be said.

By the way, don’t put funeral instructions in your will, keep them separate and let the family know about them and where they are. The will doesn’t come into play, in most cases, until long after the arrangements are made and over with.

  4. I think I missed your BFF’s death somewhere along the line; I am sorry and permit me to express belated condolences. Those anniversaries are a time to reflect and remember the good memories. My BFF passed away in 2015. We had known each other since 5th grade, and as teens, we thought that after college, we were going to take a motorcycle trip across the United States. I’ve never ever even been on a motorcycle, then or since. Of course, life had other plans and it never happened, but I smile at the memory. Your funnies really were funny and the zebra stripes disrupting biting insects does seem have something to it.
