Happy Valentine’s Day! You know, for those of you who acknowledge this day, of course. I’m a romantic at heart, so I love this day, though that love isn’t shared by certain people in my life, so I try not to make a big deal out of it. Meanwhile it’s Monday, and of course Monday means music! This week is a freebie week, so feel free to grab your favorite tune(s) and come dance with us, won’t you?

Let’s start with a song featured on this artist’s upcoming sophomore album, due out this spring. He was quoted as saying:

“Five years ago, I fell in love so hard that ever since we parted ways, there has been an invisible tether between us, sometimes existing silently, other times pulling on me like a rope attached to my chest. I got together with Mozella and Hayley Warner in LA to write this one and had the pleasure of working with the legend, Greg Kurstin on track and vocals. I really enjoyed stepping into a new sound with Greg on this song – I feel we struck the balance of lyrics that tell the story of heartbreak and conflict but maintain a hopeful and reminiscent sound that makes this song feel so good!”

Next up is a new (to me) trio that recently released this amazing single. They showcase their beautiful melodies with lyrics that make you want to grab your partner and dance around the kitchen.

The single was written by Lady A’s Charles Kelley, Jordan Minton, Jordan Reynolds and produced by Jerod Keim. According to the trio, this is the first time they’ve recorded a love ballad this moving. The song perfectly embodies the trio’s harmonies, as they sing:

Every day I love you better / Than the day before / Watching sunsets fading / From the front porch / We’ll build this home together / Weather any storm / And as the years keep rolling on/  You’ll be right where I belong.

This song was an instant hit on social media, especially on TikTok and Instagram. The song has garnered thousands of views on the app with people dubbing it as their new wedding song. The group made their way into the country scene thanks to Kane Brown, who signed them to his record label and later collaborated with them in another one of their songs.

Get ready for goosebumps, here’s Restless Road with “Growing Old With You”:

Next up is a brand new song released by this artist just a couple weeks ago – one of three from his upcoming album (April 1st). In this song, the country star opens up about the love he feels he doesn’t deserve.

You shoulda slammed the door / Changed the lock and said adios / To my selfish heart, tore it apart and left me alone / Don’t know why you were patient and wasted good savin’ on me / Maybe angels don’t always have wings

Here’s Thomas Rhett with “Angels”:

Last, but certainly not least, this artist’s new single (that premiered Jan 27, 2022) isn’t a reinvention. It might even amount to a simple vacation from the more urgent, emotional style he’s made his signature for a decade.

This track bounces along to a sweet melody and sexy sentiment — any description may be a lot of wasted words, because the only thing that’s going to determine how you feel about it comes at the end of the pre-chorus. The artist was quoted as saying:

“We had a ball, with every aspect of this song. Finding it, (thank you, JR), hearing it the first time, recording it, singing it, mixing it, shooting the video, all of it.

“I feel like ‘Hey World’ is my most diverse and at the same time cohesive record I’ve ever made. We have fun songs to mix in with the heavier ones and I couldn’t be happier with how this track turned out.

“The idea that our souls truly connect to each other in unexplainable ways has always been at the core of what I do as a musician, a writer, a producer, and a singer….and I think it’s a good reminder to keep with me every day. I hope everybody loves this song as much as I do.”

Get ready to dance, here’s Lee Brice with “Soul”:

  2. Happy Valentine’s Day, Stacy!

I’m going to resound what’s been said already, these are newly introduced songs. Sorry to read not everyone is a follower of V-Day on your end. I hope you have a good day despite those who don’t want to join you in celebration. 😉 XO

  3. All new to me, but the last song was quite catchy. For my husband and me, it’s all low key. I can see why some don’t get into Valentine’s Day.
