This is it, people! Christmas week! Are you all ready? I’m not. Not even close. I’ve been buying gifts for months, but they’re still haphazardly stacked in bags and boxes all around my office (and the common area outside my office here in the basement). I really need to step up my game and get some presents wrapped! Work has been so crazy busy for months that I’m way behind the 8-ball.

I’m hoping I’ll be able to take Thursday off, just so I can have that precious time to wrap like a maniac. Wish me luck!

Today is the first day of winter! Fall is my favorite season, followed closely by winter. What can I say, I love the crispness of fall, and the potential promise of snow in the winter. Granted, getting snow here in the Pacific Northwest is hit-or-miss, since it’s typically too warm for snow, so generally we end up with rain instead.

But apparently Old Man Winter is smiling on us this year, because we just might get a white Christmas – or a day or two after, but that’s close enough for me. If the forecast stays on track, we should see at least half a foot if not more over a 5-day period, starting on Christmas Day. We’ll see how it actually shapes up, though, a few years ago we were promised a Snowmageddon of 22+ inches which barely ended up being 2-inches. I’ll keep you posted!

Since I’m once again late writing this post (but thankfully not as late as last week), let’s jump into the funnies, shall we?

  1. Heeheehee! “Vines,” Santa, the answer is to use only those letters and let the rest slide. They’ll never know.

Thanks for the funnies and good luck with your gift wrapping extravaganza!
