I Need a Vacation and Random Funnies: Random Tuesday Thoughts

How is it that we’re already almost halfway through April? I know, I know, ‘halfway’ isn’t for another couple of days, but close enough!

Last week was the Break – since the hubby’s Spring Break was two weeks earlier, we of course didn’t do anything. Both the hubby and I worked per usual, while the kids goofed off and just enjoyed not having to even think about school for a week.

I need a vacation, though – I’ve been working too hard, and haven’t had any time off… while the kids and the hubby had time off (for what it was worth) at the beginning of the pandemic, since I’ve been working from home forever and a day, I didn’t get the same mental break they got. I really should take some time off and just breathe, don’t you think?

Speaking of mental break, my brain is fried, so let’s move onto the funnies, shall we? funnies are always a mental break! 😉

This cracked me up (I really need to check my settings in zoom and see if I can mess with people):

About StacyUncorked

After 20+ years in the Corporate World and years of infertility, Stacy was surprised when Princess Nagger made her miraculous appearance - deciding to forgo the career and stay home was a no-brainer. As if her hands weren't full enough, 8 years later she and her husband added Little Dude through adoption, adding a whole new dimension (of crazy) to their family and even more sleepless nights. When she’s not refereeing kids, dogs and cats, she loves to write, hence the reason she decided to start her little blog, and because she never got a baby book to mark milestones, this was the next best thing. She also enjoys doing reviews and giveaways for products she or her family would willingly use and can stand behind. She loves to cook and try new techniques to turn ordinary into extraordinary. Crafty by nature, she takes on a lot of unique projects and enjoy seeing the end result. Her favorite, of course, is making her award winning wine out of fruits and grapes. Experiments with water currently underway.

  1. That is so true about top sheets! I don’t understand! I love the feeling of a soft sheet, not just directly under a comforter. It also means I can wash my comforter fewer times and they have to wash theirs more. All 4 of our kids do NOT use top sheets. I don’t get it! And the Snow White apple? It’d have to be something chocolate for sure! Have a great week!

  2. Heeheehee! these are a hoot.

No top sheet means you have to wash your blanket more often, which is harder to do than washing a thin sheet, so i don’t get it.

Hope you get a vacation or some days off soon!

  3. We haven’t used a top sheet in ages. You can’t even buy them in Germany, so we gave them up. We use a duvet cover, so I just wash that. Easy peasy!
Do moms ever REALLY get a vacation if the family is around? I haven’t experienced it, yet. It’s just taking care of the family somewhere else for longer hours. There’s a reason my girlfriends and I go away every year! I need this pandemic to end so I can go on a real vacation!
