Spring has sprung! Everyone waiting for winter to depart can breathe easy now. Well, unless there are those of you who dread this time of year because of allergies. I am, however, looking forward to the cold weather finally departing – Mother Nature keeps teasing us with the potential of warm weather, only to throw some cold at us (probably laughing maniacally, of course). Bring on the warmth and sun!

So much to do, so little time – seems to be par for the course lately, doesn’t it? I’m really hoping April is a more calm month, March has been absolutely crazy. I’ve been burning the candle at both ends, and at some point, something’s got to give, am I right?

Of course my phone decided to go all haywire on me today – my top three most-used apps were working perfectly fine until mid-afternoon, then *poof*! they decided they just didn’t want to work anymore. So of course I burned valuable time trying to do everything to fix the problem(s), to no avail – I finally had to give in and just do a factory reset on my phone, which of course creates a whole other landslide of problems having to re-login to every work-related emails and apps I use and rely on.

Technology is supposed to make our lives easier, but often times makes it oh so much more difficult!

So I do have some good news, though – I was able to get my first covid vaccine last Friday! I wasn’t ‘qualified’ because I’m too young, don’t have any underlying conditions, and am in the ‘wrong line of work’, so I was waiting and waiting and waiting until they decided to expand the eligibility rules. What’s interesting is the Washington State link to check for eligibility still said I didn’t qualify yet, for the same reasons noted above.

But then our local Facebook page shared a link of a drive-through clinic that was setting up shop at our local fairgrounds, so I followed that link, answered the exact same qualifying questions the exact same way I did for the other link, and surprisingly enough, was confirmed for a specific time slot for the vaccine. My hubby, whose ‘line of work’ definitely qualified him, hadn’t been able to get an appointment through the link he was supplied… so then he decided he’d wait until after I got my first vaccine before he tried again, you know, just in case I had any adverse side effects, in which case he’d decline.

I was tempted to get a googly eye and stick it in the middle of my forehead just for grins, but alas and alack, I couldn’t remember where I had them stashed. So far, so good – I did have a sore arm the next day and a bit of a headache, but I’m not sure that the headache wasn’t caused by the yo-yo weather we were having – rain-sun-rain-sun-rain-sun…typical for spring here in the Pacific Northwest for sure.

My second dose transpires in April – luckily again on a Friday, just in case I do have any side effects I’ve heard other people have (mainly fatigue and nausea) that way I won’t have to worry about being focused on work over the weekend. 😉

OK, enough random chit-chat – how about we move on to the funnies? This cracked me up:
