We have arrived at the final Tuesday of January… how’d that happen? And of course, on this final Tuesday of the month, I’m running quite late. Best laid plans and all that jazz – today ended up being “Meeting Monday” – while that has a nice ring to it, I’m not a fan of meetings on Mondays, to be honest. Really hard to get stuff done when you’re stuck in meetings most of the day, no?

But honestly, it could be worse – at least I’m working, so there’s that! And I love what I do, so that’s a bonus as well. Although I have to say, I do miss the ‘early days’ when I wasn’t so busy work-wise, and had more time to do other stuff – like blog, or, you know, reorganize the house. I’m in ‘go’ mode right now, in that I’ve gotten really tired of the packrat genes that have been passed down to me from several generations – I’m on a mission to declutter and purge like nobody’s business.

Guess the first step is going to be to take down the Christmas tree in the living room and put away all the Christmas stuff, you think? Baby steps.

But I do plan on finally getting those stacks’o’boxes either sent off to donation land, or unpacked (or a combination of both) from our move into this house 4 years ago. Yes, we just hit 4 years this weekend of living in this house, and I still haven’t gotten my winemaking room set up. Way overdue, I tellya, so it’s going to happen this year. And all the stacks of boxes that I haven’t even looked at since we moved? They will be gone.

I suppose subconsciously I’ve contemplated if we’re actually going to stay in this house as our ‘forever’ home, what with the 74 mile one-way drive to work for the hubby, and the fact that we’re a 90 minute drive from the closest family member. So moving closer to both, and finding a place with some acreage (so I can plant grape vines and fruit trees like I did in PA for my winemaking) seems like it would be worth contemplating. So not dealing with the boxes on the off-chance we might have one more move ahead of us seemed logical. I have been perusing the listings out that way just in case – I’ll keep you posted.

Since I am running so late (and apologies for not getting around to you from last week – I’ll be doing double duty this week and will get over to see you for both weeks), let’s move on to the funnies, shall we?

This is valid:

I know you’ve all seen the Bernie memes floating around – these are my two absolute favorites thus far:

What I think is great is that Bernie has apparently embraced the fact that he’s become a viral meme – he’s selling shirts with his memed image on it to benefit charity. Way to go, Bernie!

  1. Favorite spatula? I also have a favorite pan and a favorite burner! I’m really old! Loved the dog school photos. I, too, am trying to get all my donations gathered and out of the house!

  2. Stacy,

Leave the boxes unboxed. It sounds like a move is in your future. 🙂 Great funny memes. The “love you to the moon and back’ is great and the dandelions quote are my favorites. Have a randomtastic day!

  3. You keep me giggling every week, and you deserve a nice wine-making room even if you are planning to move again.
