Hello, Tuesday! This past week got the best of me, I’m once again behind on so much. I will be doing double-time this week visiting your posts from last week as well as this week, I promise. You know, between now and next Tuesday.
Part of the interruptus mode is dealing with some major behavior issues with our adopted son, who has ADHD, ODD (Oppositional Defiant Disorder), DMDD (Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder), RAD (Reactive Attachment Disorder), and Sleep Disturbances.
I know, that’s a lot to deal with, and I’ll have to write all about it in detail along with the latest developments another day, as it deserves it’s own post. Let’s just say things seem to be getting dicier, the angry outbursts, the mood swings, the psychotic episodes seem to be increasing as he gets older. When he hasn’t liked disciplinary action for bad behavior (hello – you get grounded if you beat up kids at school during recess), he’s said to my face he wishes he could kill me. Nice, eh?
In a fit of anger he tried to choke me last night (Monday), so we called the police on him. But because he’s only 11, there wasn’t anything they could do except have a talk with him (which they did), so there are great concerns for the safety of our family. From an eleven year old.
That’s enough for now – I’d rather move on to the funnies, I need some lightheartedness today, m’kay? Speaking of adulting, this really cracked me up:
This also cracked me up:

Confession time: I still haven’t taken down my Christmas tree! Settle down, it’s been un-decorated, I just haven’t gotten around to disassembling the sections and putting it back in its box. I guarantee it’ll be out of the living room by Memorial Day weekend, since that weekend I’ll be doing some major deep spring cleaning.
This cracked me up:
I can definitely relate to this:

And I’m just going to leave this right here for you:
That’s a wrap for this week – you know the drill, link up and join in the fun, everyone is welcome.

My friend MessyMimi participates in Happy Tuesday each week, so I thought I’d join in the fun, too! Well, OK, I keep meaning to get over there and play, but then I forget. What was I doing again??
Sorry you’re going through stuff. Sounds bad but I hope it gets better!
I like this one: The lady next door yelled at her kids so loud that even I brushed my teeth and went to bed.
Stacy, i’m so sorry this is happening, and i understand how much you need to keep your sense of humor now more than ever.
My heart hurts for all of you.
Please do link up for Happy Tuesday, i think you will enjoy reading the other entries.
So very funny. I need this this evening.
Oh Stacy…I can’t believe Little Dude is 11 already (in addition to everything else)
How about some red, white and blue stars on that tree–festive!!!
Dr. B. Gee really cracked me up! And the cow one! But Stacy, my heart is breaking for you. I’m sure you’ve researched available treatment, therapy, and/or medications for treating your son’s disorders. I hope you are able to find something that works. You’re in my thoughts and praysers.
Eek! I wish you all the best with Little Dude. I know you love him through it all but I can understand why you’d be a little concerned.
