Every day I’m feeling better and better – thank you all for your well wishes and your patience, as I’m not allowed to sit for long periods of time at my desk, which means my computer time is limited greatly. But only a couple more weeks to defy gravity in my healing process, which means only a couple more weeks of sleeping in my recliner in the living room! I bet I’ll sleep like a baby when I’m back in my comfy bed again.

Well, except for our cat, Charlee, who didn’t like being in genpop, so she has her private domain in our master bedroom where she doesn’t have to share food, water and litter box with her cat brother and sister. She likes walking all over me at night when I’m trying to sleep, meowing in my ear and batting my head until I pet her to her satisfaction, then she’ll let me sleep. I imagine when I get back up there, she’ll be persistent for lost time of all her pets…heh!

I do go up there during the day and give her lots of attention and pets to keep her happy, so maybe when I do get back up there to sleep, she’ll go easy on me. Time will tell!

I’m hoping this weekend, since the weather is supposed to be nice, that I’ll be able to recruit the hubby into bringing my fall decor in from the garage so I can get the house looking all festive for fall. If that happens, I’ll be sure to share pictures next week!

Someone from our tiny town was at the Denver, Colorado airport, and spied this map highlighting interesting places across the U.S.:

She was tickled to see that our tiny town was actually on the map:

Yep, that’s us – with the World’s Largest Egg. Pretty cool, no? I find it funny that the Space Needle in Seattle didn’t make it on that map, but our egg statue did, and I had no idea there’s a ‘Toaster Museum’ in Seattle – might have to plan a trip to check that out!

Speaking of our small town, someone caught some grief with the spelling error on our local IGA store sign:

I can’t even……..

This was posted on Facebook:

The library wrote: “We’d like to remind patrons to not attach googley [sic] eyes to books. It can cause damage to the cover and in this case haunt our nightmares for all eternity. Thank you.”

This cracked me up:

As did this:

I thought this was interesting:

This is so true:

We actually had to turn the furnace on twice since last Friday, as the weather got cold and rainy, but it’s going to warm up this week and be in the 70’s again, so we’ll keep it off until it gets too cold to function again. How soon do you turn on your furnace?

This is funny:

I thought this was hilarious:

And finally, I’m going to leave this right here for you:

That’s a wrap for this week – you know the drill, link up and join in the fun, everyone is welcome, random or not. And that means even if you don’t have a specific Random Tuesday Thoughts Rebel post posted, you can still link up, I’m not picky. You don’t even have to add the badge, just link up so I can come harass you on your blog. I promise to play nice.

  1. Heeheehee! Yep, i remember when go-fund-me was called work.

These are great funnies to start the day, and i am praying you mend quickly and are allowed to sleep by the cat (ours just run around all night making noise to keep us up).

  2. Stacy,

Our kitty from years ago would keep us awake at night. That’s when we made the decision to ban her from our bedroom. She wasn’t too happy about that but at least we got some sleep but then we replaced that with real babies and then we never got any sleep. lol I’m glad you’re improving each day. So yay for you!!! I liked your funnies, especially the chickens free-range comic and the dude putting make up on. Why doesn’t that work for me? Of course, minus the hairy face. 🙂 Have a randomtastic week, my friend & thanks for hosting!
