Hello Tuesday! The perfect day to do a brain dump with the utmost randomness, am I right? You know I am! I apologize for not being the best hostess on these Tuesday jaunts – but that’s going to change, because I’m no longer going to have to fight a losing battle with my computer!

That Blue Screen Of Death has been an ongoing nightmare – practically every day! When your computer shuts down on you when you’re in the middle of doing something important – like blog hopping – you tend to lose momentum and forget where you left off as you fight to get things booted back up again, and salvage any important stuff that might have mysteriously disappeared during the random shut down.

But you guys!!! Remember when I told you I finally got a dream job as a Virtual Assistant? I’m coming up on my one-year anniversary! I know, right?! Almost a whole year, and it doesn’t feel like it! I love my boss, she’s the first boss in my bazillion years of my past life of too many hours in Corporate America that actually truly appreciates me – it’s such a nice feeling, let me tell you!

In honor of my upcoming anniversary, my awesome boss bought me the exact laptop I’d been studiously saving up to get, so I could ditch the all-in-one desktop I bought after we moved back to Seattle 5 years ago – I regretted going back to a desktop vs. a laptop because I couldn’t be mobile (and stay on top of things unless I sequestered myself at my desk) which just hasn’t been cutting it for me.

And of course there’s that whole wonky computer mode I’ve been dealing with for several years now – I’m actually surprised my computer hasn’t given up the ghost already with how it’s been acting, but I have managed to keep it limping along ‘good enough’ for a while, but now, I don’t have to worry about it, because as of today, this is my new baby:

Yes, it’s a gaming laptop – I got that kind on purpose because while I’m not a gamer, I still want to benefit from the perks gaming laptops have, like faster speeds, way better video card graphics, and the extra cooling system, just to mention a few. I cannot wait to get all my stuff loaded on it so I can be better, stronger, faster than ever before! I’m so very grateful to have a boss who is truly the best boss I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with.

Now let’s move right on to the funnies, since I’m running behind today! This cracked me up – I bet some of you can relate:

This is clever:

I thought this was hilarious:

Anyone need an adult?

This cracked me up – I had to recreate this one, because the blurry images were driving me crazy. You’re welcome.

And finally, I’m going to leave this right here for you:

That’s a wrap for this week – you know the drill, link up and join in the fun, everyone is welcome, random or not. And that means even if you don’t have a specific Random Tuesday Thoughts Rebel post posted, you can still link up, I’m not picky. You don’t even have to add the badge, just link up so I can come harass you on your blog. I promise to play nice.

  1. OMGosh That book drop was funny! And the Bat Street Boys! And I agree that if you don’t know what those are in that photo, you can’t truly appreciate technology. One year as VA already? Awesome! Yay for the new laptop!

  2. That was very nice of your boss. I know how frustrating it can be when a computer doesn’t work correctly. Glad you got a new one.

  3. Hiip Hooray for the great boss and a new computer! You do have a fabulous boss.

Great funnies, and i was hauling out the old tlephone book yesterday for Dr. D so she could look something up. Sometimes nothing beats an old fashioned tool.

  4. Stacy,

Congrats on your upcoming 1st anniversary as a Virtual Assistant. I wish I could find something to do from home like you. Maybe, someday my ship will sail into port for me to finally catch. Oh wait…I don’t like sea travel! lol Way to go to the Boss Lady for buying you a new laptop! She deserves mega praises for being super cool! 🙂

Love the random funnies, especially the one about hiring taller help. 😀

Have a purrrfect random kinda day, my friend!
